Watched the first episode. Really well done but little hard to follow. I'll keep watching it though.

Question about the ending...
[blackout]Is Bran dead? The previews for next week seem to suggest he is but I was looking up info on the books and he's in later installments.[/blackout]

[blackout]No, he's not dead. But...well, he's not really alright, either.[/blackout]

Finally caught the first ep.

It's about time Hbo put out some quality new programming.

The first 5 minutes and the final scene =

Oh, btw the dialogue where the guy tells his sister, he'd let all 40,000 guys screw her was quite disturbing. :csad:

I found everything with Viserys and his sister disturbing. The things he said to her, the way he touched her.

It was great to see the eggs.

Was wondering when Golgo-13 would show up. You liked Rome quite a bit. These books are Rome on steriods. Keep watching I'm sure you're going to love it.

Saw the first episode last night, for although I've never read the novels, I'm very impressed with this series thus far. It makes me want to read the books and find out more instead of waiting for the episodes to come out.

At first I wasn't a fan of the intro music, but now I quite like it.

I was going by this

So HBO won't release official ratings for last night's brilliantly hyped premiere of Game of Thrones until tomorrow. But one early indicator suggests that the numbers probably won't break any records. Don't panic, GoT groupies: The good news is, HBO doesn't live or die by Nielsen's verdict, and we're about 98.5 percent certain that the network will green-light a second season of the epic fantasy. That said, let's look at what the first returns from Nielsen show.

According to data obtained by Vulture, GoT earned a 1.6 rating in Nielsen's overnight household sample. By way of comparison, last September's debut of Boardwalk Empire on HBO averaged a 2.8 rating in the overnights. Household ratings aren't used much anymore, with most networks tending to look at overall viewership or demographic averages to gauge a program's success. What's more, because of HBO's smaller distribution — it's in about 28 million homes — household overnight ratings can vary substantially from the national total viewer figure. All of these caveats aside, down is down: Based on this snapshot of its performance, it's clear GoT won't come close to matching the nearly 5 million viewers who watched the Boardwalk Empire premiere in September.

Doesn't really matter anyway. Cable networks live off of subscriptions. If people are buying HBO for this, then it's a win for them.

They were hoping for slightly higher numbers, but not to worry, I think viewership will go up as the show goes on and good word of mouth spreads.Thats basically what happens with most of HBOs shows.

Liked the scenes with the Dothraki best.

Yeah, those were fine numbers. Just not as amazing as some were expecting.

I did not read the books but I suspect that alliance does not last long

I'm already tired of Lena and the same tight-lipped narrow-eyed *****face she gives in every damn scene she's in.

The first ep was really good. This episode was great. The story really picked up. Can't wait to see what happens next

Wow this just gets better and better, now I'm extremely hooked.

Can anyone put in spoiler tags what Sean Bean does when Bran spills the beans if he can ? Does he ignore him because hes a kid or does he leave / kick king & co out etc
