John Mathieson, who did Gladiator and Multiverse of Madness. A Reddit thread says he’s filming JW Rebirth on 35mm but he has shot multiple films digitally.

Gotta be honest, Edwards is the only piece of this that is keeping me optimistic. Because that title and description sounds lame as hell.

I'm pretty much the same. The plot doesn't sound like it's breaking new ground but Edwards, Johansson and Mahershala have me interested. I at least have faith it can turn out better than the last two movies.

I think they mean that loosely. Like how Jurassic World was a complete reboot but a continuation of the Jurassic Park trilogy world.

I take it to mean we’re following new characters but it’s continuing on to where the world is overrun with dinosaurs. Not actually starting over.

I’m glad they kept the title as “World” because it’s easier to recommend to people which part of the franchise to avoid entirely.

Yeah, they'd have been better off renaming each trilogy. First three were Jurassic Park, next three were Jurassic World, then they could have rebranded with this new one. I think @Lily Adler mentioned Jurassic Kingdom. That would have worked fine but I guess they're afraid of renaming it since the Jurassic World movies were the ones that made a billion.

There is something to be said for not risking your billion a movie franchise with brand confusion.

Just be glad it isn't THE Jurassic World.

This wasn't my idea but it's been brought up on here before: I think The Lost Park: Jurassic World would have been a fun tongue-in-cheek title for Fallen Kingdom. At first glance it sounds like a parody but it's literally the plot of the movie, at least for the first half.
