It won't be. They will in no way make it R rated. It could very well be an intense action packed movie and be the most hardcore PG-13 flick but definitely won't be R.

I mean the covenants etc. have pink, blue, organge, green blood so no matter how much carnage there is it will be PG-13 since there is no red blood.

yes i know the humans have red blood but they will find ways to not show that.

umm it is good that they aren't rushing it. Let them take their time and make something awesome.

I don't expect oscar quality acting or even a good script. As long as the movie is kickass and highly entertaining i will be happy.

I was a fan of Underworld.

And wasn't Wiseman on this film before? I remember the film falling through (as well as the remake of Escape from New York, which also had Len at the helm).

I would have loved to have seen Verhoeven on the film, but I think he's still busy filming the sequel to the Thomas Crowne Affair.

Wiseman is good choice. I'm a fan of Underworld series and while I didn't fully respect DH4 I admit that it had some good stuff in it.

Come on, Gears of War is pretty much Starship Troopers with a Robocop tone. We'd get a ridiculously over the top macho movie, which is what it's supposed to be.

If Bay was directing, we'd have to put up with crappy melodramatic backstory no one wants and we'd have to hear how all Dom wants to do is return to his wife back home and how Cole Train just wants to eat his momma's home cooked meal.
