You keep blabbing that, so what! It's a good thing they have something for the Olympics, how have you all spun that into a negative? They are still going need the big gun for MNF, if you are going to compare them.
Who has spun this in the negative exactly? Expressing potential annoyance with the situation is not turning this into a negative. On the other hand you attacking other posters is.

"It should be their equivalent"? Says who? Oh right the "I want it all now" experts here. :funny: Who then are the first to complain, they showed to much, there's nothing new here, I saw it all!
They are still going to need something big for the fall, hence this is 90sec.
Says logic. They are debuting this on one of the biggest sporting events of the year because they want attention. The same night as the Women's All Around final I believe. Probably the most eyeballs you can get.

By the way, of course everyone here wants it all now. We'd all love to see the film right now. I want to see VIII and IX right now. What does that have to do with anything? All anyone here is asking for is a full trailer. You get those with must blockbusters farther then 4 months out. We are also not talking about a Saga film. We are talking about something that will need to be even more hyped.

I said pretty much three for three, as a general comparison. With Thursday R1 will have three teases out there , as did TFA.

Except it isn't pretty much the same once this hits. At this point there was two teasers and the Comic-Con footage for TFA. Nothing released in August.

Here we have one teaser and the Celebration footage. Now they are releasing something in August. That is a different strategy, clearly.

Exactly, so what's your big concern?
They'll probably drop a Vader tease, this his huge.
There's like commercials for the commercial, the hype train is on!

We did get a R1 trailer, in theaters, we likely won't get the full length theatrical trailer till Oct. We'll get teases till then.
Like we did till TFA Oct trailer- http://www.superherohype.com/news/356103-star-wars-trailer-force-awakens#/slide/1
And then the Superbowl, etc
This is another teaser woohooo! During Olympics awesome! It's not the final trailer, which is hardly surprising, given that it's only August,...
Enjoy Thursday!;)

Why the arguing guys? A new STAR WARS movie is coming. Be happy. You can discuss this without getting upset or upsetting others.

If we get some prominent Vader material then that might awe da masses

If we get prominent Vader footage I will scream like Chuck Bartowski in a near death situation.

Just show 90 seconds of Vader in a fist fight with Donnie Yen, and then watch as all the crime in Rio grinds to a halt from sheer awe.

But then there's a chance we might not even get Vader at all. The inner conflict is real...

GIF makers be ready! We gettin' a new trailer tomorrow!

:awesome:

I hope Vader is a shadowy presence. In it for maybe 10-15 minutes max. In the Star Wars books that have come out recently, Vader works wonders as being a boogeyman to the rebellion. They don't know if he's a man, a machine, or a monster because they don't see him for that long. He shouldn't be portrayed as a warrior here, but like a horror monster lurking in the shadows. In other words, how the rebellion see him. That would be boss.

I agree. Maybe he can make a couple of transmissions and then show up right before the Rebels manage to transmit the Deathstar plans to Leias ship. I predict every remaining senior officer and death trooper will be killed by Vader himself for this failure.

My hopes for the trailer. There's very little excitement in the air for this movie beyond our bubble so they can't just give us a short teaser. Nothing less than 2 mins of fresh footage and a sprinkle of Vader at the end will suffice.

My hopes for the movie. I have to say I'll be bummed if Tarkin doesn't show up in some form. And not a miserable face mask. It's high time ILM take a crack at resurrecting a deceased actor. I doubt we'll see Palpatine, but he'll be mentioned.

Vader is one of the biggest selling points of the franchise and this is Disneys first opportunity to really cash in on him, and they can only do that in these prequel films. If there is one thing those reshoots did its likely adding more Vader. I doubt he will be a shadowy presence. Thats not how he has been used in the new canon. He's been very prominent.

I think Vader will be sprinkled throughout the film, with hopefully one big set piece. I remember reading that Krennic is trying to avoid his wrath.

Largely yes, but really only the things that feature him and the main cast outside of the cartoon. Have you read the other books - most noticeably the ones that focus on general soldiers? Because he IS presented as a boogeyman that no one knows whether he's man, machine, or something else because few get to see him for long prior to being killed or barely escaping with their lives. Basically Vader brings instant death. That's, how front line "grunt" soldiers view him - a death omen that closes in on you, very very frightening. A deadly force of nature in the shape of a man.

I am almost certain Vader will be in the new trailer. Disney won't miss such an opportunity. I just hope that it is a brand new trailer and not the one shown on Celebration.
