He may die simply because of trying to rival Vader's loyalty to Palpatine. That's my theory and I believe Palpatine will have a brief appearance as well.

Also, at what time is the trailer going to be released officially?

I think they should save his appearance for the film, but that's just not how it works these days.

Just show an extreme close up of him breathing. You don't need to show a scene, but there's no reason not to show Vader. Basically you can show him while showing nothing.

I mean, I agree for the most part. From a marketing standpoint I think there's no way that they won't show Vader, that's for sure.

What time do those Olympics start? Its 5pm in Brazil now.

I'm hoping they don't use the same shot of Vader (his reflection) from the Celebration exclusive teaser. I would be ok with a scene of some rebels looking terrified as they hear his breathing and he enters the shot while igniting his lightsaber. Or maybe a similar scene but from the opposite angle with only Vader's silhouette and lightsaber being visible as he is surrounded by smoke.

I'm simply going with either a shot of him from behind, or his silhouette from the front, because they only showed his reflection at Celebration. That doesn't mean they can't have a proper shot of him, but maybe they want to save a full reveal for the final trailer, or even the movie (I doubt it).

Personally, I would like to see a full shot of him (maybe even in action), but at the same time I'd be ok with a simple tease seeing as how he won't be in the movie that much. It would be nice to experience most of it during the film.

Me too.
He needs to show up in the trailers for the general audiences to care. Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Cobert are not going to say "Wow! how about that trailer with Jyn Erso! WooWee!". Its the villains that go viral. Director Orson Krennic is not going viral. You can't have him be the graphic on all the toys.

Show starts at 8pm on east coast. Trailer -
9 pm - 10:30 pm. Best guess. They want it in there usually far enough that people tune in to watch but never too far so that those dragged along will complain about it being in the end. So more middle leaning towards second half.
