t:Does anyone else think "Save the Rebellion! Save the dream!" is such a great line?t:
I mean, the way Whitaker delivered it and the rest of the trailer supporting it, just fantastic, I cried like a baby.t:
Wasnt Rogue One as a basic concept originally envisioned for Star Wars Underworld? George was pretty involved with that before it was finally scrapped, so his feelings for Rogue One might be different compared to how he felt for TFA. Or alternatively he'd dislike it more so.
Less so than the film in general, but I would be very curious to hear about his opinion on the character of Saw Gerrera and his depiction on screen.
I thought Rogue One was the brainchild of John Knoll, which he started thinking about when Star Wars Underworld was going to be a thing, but was never really officially apart of it.
Knoll, who is also credited with story on the movie, says the idea of Rogue One came from the aborted Star Wars television series, a sort of spy narrative of how the Death Star plans were stolen, but it wouldnt have been right for that show. Luckily, he made a pitch to Kathy and Kiri and they loved it.
Mikkelsen told GQ:
I worked a few days with Felicity Jones and she is a wonderful actress. I worked with Jyn at three stages, and three different ages, so there was a little kid that was four, one that was eight, and then there was Felicity. So that was wonderful. I spent a lot of time with Ben Mendelsohn and that was hilarious. He’s a very funny man and he makes the day just fly by.”
I don't really care if George likes any of these new films or not. That's my 2 cents on it haha.

I must have missed something... Did George actively voice his dislike of TFA or something?
He seemed pretty placid about it all during the lead up to it.

He called Disney white slave owners and kept on saying it wasn't how he'd do it. Other then that he was fine.I must have missed something... Did George actively voice his dislike of TFA or something?
