Small bits of new footage (including a brief Yavin/Yavin IV space shot) from a new Gillette commercial:

The look of this film is stunning :hmr:

But does it make you want to buy a Gillette razor??

Who else is excited to read 'Catalyst' by James Luceno? Less than two weeks left!

I would as it looks very promising, but I unfortunately I almost have no time due to university tasks and assignments. Enjoy, though!

What does everyone think about when the tickets will be available for pre order?

Unsure how fast they will sell out though if this board has little activity, which is surprising since word online is that they may be on sale tomorrow. This time last year there seemed be many posts per day.

I think that once December hits, this board will become more active.

We also have to consider the fact that this is the first spin off SW film and the hype for it is not as big as it was for TFA (which also had the factor of being the first SW film in 10 years).

I also hope the tickets will go on sale next week. We have a little less than a month before the movie hits.

Rumors online state tickets go on sale tomorrow. Unsure if it's legit or at what time that means. One announcement though states tickets for a theater will become available to the public on the 7th.

ADDING: I'd like to stress it's a rumor, there is no official word on whether or not from Disney.

Given the look of so many male actors in the film it's an odd tie-in deal. :woot:

You know after everything that I've seen/heard about this movie, I really think that after watching this, watching the OT is gonna make the Rebellions fight against the Empire that much stronger after everything they've been through.

I had the same feeling after seeing the ending of ROTS when Obi-Wan handed over Luke to Beru. Just knowing what Darth Vader had just done and what he left behind. I think it made their scenes in ESB and ROTJ much more powerful.

I'm hoping that's what Rogue One can bring out of this movie.

LOL for the Rebels you're right!

Cassian, Bodhi, Baze, Saw and Chirrut
4 scraggly bearded guys and ... one blind guy!

I love the Vader version best of that poster. It always grabs my attention.

StarWarsNews.net posted this morning that a European Chain of Theaters said November 28th. So it looks like that may be the case now that the U.S. chains may be doing the same.

Doesn't this seem... kind of late? I mean, this is Star Wars and the film will be around 2 weeks from release by that date.

Well, let me put it this way in three steps why I think this might be a good idea:

1) It'll sell out more faster because hype for Rogue One will already be at a fever pitch at this point, maybe even on par with TFA.

2) It'll help Disney not have Rogue One ticket sales get buried under the attention of the Election, Fantastic Beasts and Disney's Moana.

3) This would be the ultimate confirmation that Disney cares about quality over quantity and this would debunk what Hollywood Reporter said that Disney wanted to reshoot Rogue One to make it appeal to kids, even though I still think Rogue One will make a billion dollars worldwide.

So, it may be late. But, this timing makes sense.

Solidus, would you agree with me on my theory as why this may work?

Yeah, I think pre-orders will sell well regardless of it's time. Since it's so easy to do. It was funny because I went to talk to my IMAX theater the other day and they said that lots had their computer systems messed up for selling TFA tickets so early and they overbooked a lot of theaters. That may have been an isolated incident. But the theater manager just told me they were from now on doing pre-orders closer to the actual release of the film in my theater here.

Hard to say if it will sell faster, but no doubts it will sell fast.

Given the national tragedy that has transpired, I think this film's central massage will resonate feverishly.
