So 4 movies then, and 2 of which will be back to back (RO, EP8). Either way, it needs to end lol.
Why? People seem to love it and it works when sneaking into places where you have to actually talk to people. Some Star Wars tropes are fun.

Because it's being overdone. That's why. They need to try something new instead of taking the easy way out (or easy way in, I guess).

So how do you sneak into a facility without Force abilities when you have to actually talk to others, but you don't have the firepower to fight back?

The only problem I had here was Cassian doesn't have a mask. Otherwise it makes perfect sense, especially with an Imperial droid.

It's all just referencing the Wizard of Oz.

If I had time to writing the script and then have Lucasfilm and/or Disney producers talk it out, then I'm sure all 17 of us could find a different way other than reusing said trope. I don't think "sneaking in dressed as the bad guys" is the only way to get stuff done, do you?

One of the biggest things that bugged me. Stormtrooper voices where muffled/radio-y sounding enough.

Indiana Jones disguised himself as a Nazi twice...

Something is effective, so don't do it because it is too effective. Gotcha. :yay:

It is a classic film reference, that plays into the genre perfectly.

By the way, I am pretty sure you are the first person I have heard complain about this. Otherwise, I have heard how much people loved those two references to the Detention Block scene from Star Wars.

Just because something is effective in one movie doesn't mean it has to be done the same way for 3 others ;)

I've seen nothing but 99% positive remarks about the film on this site, which is great to hear for all those who liked it. It doesn't change the fact that the film is, for me, extremely bland with awful characters.

You can feel however you want about the scene, the characters and the movie. But expecting them to change something when the majority seem to love it, including the fans, seems extremely unlikely and unwarranted. Its Star Wars, you expect people to do it,. especially as the villains walk around with buckets on their heads. It also seems to be a beloved trope, so yeah.

I just don't think many people have stopped to think about it much yet to really complain about it lol. I honestly feel like that's just why I'm the only person brining it up. You look at all the other things fans complain about, I'm surprised reusing the same trope in 4 films now (FIVE if you count TFA but without any FO disguises) has gone largely unnoticed. People may not be "complaining", but I don't see any fans cheering "I loved how Jyn snuck onto the base as an imperial gunner! That was awesome!" :)

That god awful makeup. :argh:

I'll agree to this, his makeup in ROTS was dreadful! I'm pretty sure even Ian thinks so lol. He looked so bloated and his neck way too thick. I just chalk it up in my head canon that his wounds are fresh so that's why he looks like that. Not that I really need to do that because I don't watch ROTS anyways :D

Sheev was hilarious in Episode 3.

I cannot get over how bad that make up was in that movie. :funny:

And no I haven't seen the movie yet, I'll get around to it eventually.

Seen the movie twice and this is still bothering me...

Why is the Tantive IV even at Scarif? Bail tells Mon Mothma that he'll dispatch Leia to go get Kenobi, yet at the end of the movie, it's docked with Raddus' flagship over Scarif. It didn't leave with the flagship as R2 and C3PO are on Yavin IV after it's left... I don't get it...

My only theory is that the Tantive IV is sent to Scarif to pick up the plans after the Devastator arrives, but it's weird that this part doesn't fit. Any theories?

Now that we saw how the Death Star plans were stolen does anyone else want to see what happened between ESB and ROTJ? I loved Shadows of the Empire, both the game and book, always thought Dash Rendar was pretty cool and I think it might actually make for an interesting movie.

[BLACKOUT]Because it is Bail's ship, probably already on Yavin, with Leia. We just don't see her there.[/BLACKOUT]

That's why I said 3P0 & R2 should've been on the ship and not Yavin Base. It just feels like there's something missing as opposed to Vader chasing the Tantive IV straight after RO.
