meant it not I did
Thing is, even if a 4k is released I don't have a 4K player. I'm one who thinks 4K looks TOO sharp. Not sure it would be a good idea.

Just rub vaseline over your eyes, it takes the sharpness way back down... :woot:

On YouTube from every reviewer I kept hearing the term uncanny valley in reference to CGI Tarkin and Leia that I had to look up what it meant.

"Originally coined by Masahiro Mori in 1970, the term “uncanny valley” describes our strange revulsion toward things that appear nearly human, but not quite right. This revulsion usually involves robots, but can also include computer animations and some medical conditions."

I mean who comes up with these stupid phrases and in what way would a life-like android remind someone of a valley?

Took my 10 year old daughter to see it tonight....she loved it.

Nice! Hoping to take my nephew over Christmas week.

My office is closing early today, so I got a ticket to see it in 4DX this afternoon. I've been wanting to try out that theater for ages, this seemed like the right movie for it.

K-2SO was my favorite character. He was basically a badass version of C-3PO. They need to bring him back in a Star Wars sequel!

Nah they will re-release the original sometime soon.

Exactly. Disney knows there's a great demand for the theatrical versions. It would be foolish for them not make more money by being stubborn about it like Lucas was.

Seeing it for the 2nd time tonight in D-BOX! It's my first D-BOX movie too.

It's been brought up a few times (TO ME) it can't happen unless it's a prequel...I want it to happen too! lol

See everyone explains to ME that because he was in the city where the Death Star targeted, he's GONE.
Personally, I think if Disney wanted to they could realistically bring him back by saying he somehow "infected" another Bot or two during the one scene Jyn shot that Security Droid and he responded "Did you KNOW that wasn't ME?" and they made it off the planet somehow

That's how I saw it first. Any movie that involves a battle must be seen in D-BOX.

Had to google D-Box! lol WOW that looks cool!

It does! It's never been worth it to spend $21.99 on a ticket, though, but I had enough points and my buddy wanted to see it in that format so I thought, what the hell?, let's try this out.

I'm sure it will be really cool!

I never paid for it, but the seat I was in had it turned on (by accident I guess or they were giving out freebies in the hope that people would use it in the future). I'm trying to remember what movie it was.....(that was a real pause). I think it was Star Trek Beyond. Anyway, my wife looks over at me at the same time I looked over at her and she had this WTF??? look on her face (I'm guessing I did too). I knew what it was beforehand so I knew immediately, but she had no idea what was going on.

I think it's the first time she's been speechless since we met. LOL.

Kind of reminds me of a place in the Chicago burbs where you have dinner too. There's a dinner theater here too but I don't think the seats aren't the same

A lot of press people were on the flight. Crazy to read their reactions. No info on whether they were able to revive her before transporting her to a hospital.

She is being reported as being in critical condition. That is the LA Times saying this.

Our main theatre chain in Canada (Cineplex) has something like that too, called VIP. You can have dinner there as well as have popcorn, treats, alcohol, whatever, brought to you at your seat like a restaurant. I've only been to one movie in VIP an that was The Avengers. The seats are also bucket seats, completely separate from each other seat. Everyone can lean back to their heart's content without disrupting anyone else. I didn't order anything, though. As neat as that is, I personally don't find it necessary. It is nice that the VIP screens have their own concession, though, which is where I got my snacks. No long lineup.

Yeah but, that will be the norm in a case like that.
When I had my gal bladder out, they had ME in critical condition too. Keep up the hope she has time and care to get out of that.

Just saw your guys' posts about Carrie now! Horrible to hear! Thoughts are with her and her family. Hoping for the best news possible.
