K2 didn't have a accent I remember. Just sounded like a slightly modulated Tudyk.

I've only seen it the once so far, but I'm sure he was putting on some faux British thing... just not very well.

K2 has an English accent. I thought it sounded fine personally. Not like Tudyk's normal voice.

Im suprised ppl think that chirrut was a good character. His dialogue is cringeworthy, he beats stormtroopers with a stick which is fun but unbelievable, and the fact that he and base speak in broken english took me out of the film.

Vaders voice wasnt right either, and whoever wrote his dialogue in the krennic scene did a horrible job. They defintely should have enhanced his voice further in post production by adding in more base like they did in the ot.

There is 1 plot problem they have, which is that the shield closes which makes the chatacters accept the fact they are trapped, but then create a solution which requires the shield to be taken out. Ik they need to kill the characters and put them into a unescapable circumstance, but still stuck out to me.

Overall liked the film but they had alot of useless stuff and coulda streamlined things to allow them to put in an opening crawl, and ditch the ugly title scene

Well you know, just because the shield got taken down doesn't mean that it's easy peasy for them to get away. They are in the middle of a warzone. Stealing a ship or getting someone to pick them up might not have been easy, especially in the timeframe they had with the Death Star showing up.

Im aware why they didnt ultimately escape. It is their flawed rationale that is the problem. Its easily fixed by just not making the shield a barrier to communications. This way they dont have the option to escape at all. This also fixes the idiotic ramming of the star destroyer

How is that character speaking in "broken English" distracting? It didn't distract me at all. It's a movie about Aliens that look human in a Galaxy far far away.

And I don't think the characters were amazing but they were better then I expected considering the director's history.

Yeah I really found his comment about how them speaking broken English "took him out of the film" to be kind of OTT.

I think it's the fact that when someone is spitting dialogue in a non-native language - there can be a lack of proper emoting and can come across very wooden.
