Civil War General Ross in civil war! William Hurt returns!

I'm a little puzzled by the lack of Fury and Hill, but all these inclusions are great news!

Finally, An Incredible Hulk tie in from 2008. I thought Marvel would forever treat it as a bastard film.

This.

Ross was the best part of the announcement. He'll surely use Hulk's destruction of South Africa in AoU as a selling point to continue his pursuit of Banner.

Maybe they should also bring in Betty for a cameo..?

Great news. Finally a direct connection to TIH.

Good news. Like I said in the other thread, it seems a shame though that he isn't even getting to be in the same picture as Mark Ruffalo's Hulk. We haven't seen the two of them together. He could've had a cameo before in AOU or the Avengers. Or give Ruffalo a small role in this film even just as Banner butting heads with Ross.

And the other person we need to have now to tie it all together is Adrian Pasdar as General Talbot. Let him and Ross interact. Instead of Ross just having random army personnel, they could write Talbot in.

I wouldn't mind seeing Liv Tyler cameoing as Betty Ross as well.

BTW, would anyone ever want to see Thunderbolt Ross become Red Hulk?

I don't see why not. Would be a good set up for a Thunderbolts movie. Not in Civil War though, it's packed enough as it is.

Thrilled to see him back. It would be great to see him eventually turn into Red Hulk.

Love it love it love it love it love it.

Thats cool. I liked TIH and he already interacted with Tony Stark, so I'm not surprised that they brought him back. I would love to see Red Hulk in the future.

Are we likely to hear anything about Ross's supersoldier program that he attempted?

It would be cool if we could also get Tim Roth back for this even in just a cameo. Maybe Zemo or Crossbones could free him. The only thing is that I would want Abomination to look like his comic book self and for Ruffalo's Hulk to fight him now.

I wouldn't have minded seeing a new Gen. Ross. While I hate Ang Lee's Hulk, I still thought Sam Elliot suited his role as Gen. Ross. I didn't see William Hurt get angry enough and I never cared for his performance.

It never ceases to amaze me the change a moustache can make to a man's face.

Great news that TIH is getting more references.

Sam Elliot was an awesome Ross
but Hurt's the man, so I'm glad he's coming back

now to get Abomination outta that prison SHIELD has him in

Cap wasn't around when Ross tried his SSS program. It would be interesting to see what he has to say about that now, and how Ross might regard Rogers.
