Civil War The "Vision" in Civil War

According to Paul Bettany, Vision feels real love and affection for Wanda. Vision and the Scarlet Witch Phase 4 would be a dream come true. He doesn't need that Infinity Stone to survive..... I hope

2020: ScarletVision

I could imagine a teaser trailer with Vision in an apron, "cooking" for Wanda. Wanda is casually reading a floating magazine, flipping through the pages with her mind while watching soap operas. She is also correcting Vision's cooking by moving around the right ingredients with her mind and hiding the bad ingredients from Vision. I'm trying to think what Vision's apron should say. "I heart Infinity Stones?" :funny:

That would seriously be a dream come true for me and many other Vision and Scarlet Witch fans I believe

Vision getting ripped apart by Thanos near the end of IW part 1 would certainly be a great way to show off Thanos' power levels and end the movie on the darker tone i think it needs.

Yep , vision is a major powerhouse in the avengers so thanos ripping him apart would really set the tone in the IW movie for how powerful thanos is because so far , all we see of thanos is him sitting on his throne and doing nothing but threatening other MCU villains to do his dirty work.

That would also cause Wanda to "Hulk up" so to speak and play a huge part in destroying Thanos, I would think.

I don't want to see Vision die, but I think it's going to happen. When Thanos arrives, he does a superhero landing on top of Vision and decapitates him, ripping out the gem from his forehead. This would set up the whole theme of "shock and awe" for Infinity War.

Poor Wanda. :csad:

I think just ripping the gem out of his forehead would be 'shock and awe' enough. We know the stone is a big part of Vision, basically the source of all his abilities and powers, and maiming him of that would be heartbreaking all on its own. That's why I don't necessarily think Vision will die in IW - but I most certainly think he's going to lose the gem and all of his powers, if not temporarily. Which will most likely spurn Wanda on her power-hungry vengeance on Thanos.

Seriously though, if Wanda ends up being the most powerful of all the Avengers and the hero that defeats the all-powerful Thanos, that would be pretty freakin sweet!

So I saw the movie a second time - kinda disappointing that Vision stayed out of the airport fight for the most part. Wish they would have shown him battling Wanda.

Haha yeah, they certainly did a good job cutting away from him for long periods of time so that they didn't have to try to figure out ways to match him up in the fights.

I hope he gets his due in Infinity War. At least it makes sense for the character - he wouldn't want to cause damage anyway because as he said, it breeds catastrophe.

The two heaviest hitters on each side NOT squaring off seems to be such a glitch in an otherwise pretty awesome fight sequence.

Vision looked strangely demonic during the airport sequence - particularly when he lasered that tower to try to block Steve/Bucky from getting to the quinjet. He had this angry look in his eyes when I thought the character wasn't supposed to be there "yet" with his emotional capacity.

One of the most powerful scenes for me was Vision watching over Rhodey in the hospital.

No words, but Paul Bettany's expression was worth a million of them. You could see the guilt in his face, as the Vision tries to come to terms with his expanding emotional capacity which hits a critical point at the end of that airport battle.

Agreed. At least with Viz though it makes sense - he wasn't trying to hurt anyone, he was only trying to prevent Team Cap from escaping. Scarlet Witch on the other hand was pulling no punches and contributing everywhere lol, but that also makes sense given she wanted to "get off her ###"

I would at least like Vision to put up some sort of fight before he goes down.

And Im begging of Marvel not to be scared to show Thanos tearing it out Visions head instead of the child friendly way and have Vision simply take it out and surrender it to Thanos to spare everyone. No I dont want that I want a struggle where no one can help Vision and he gets it brutally taken from him.

We NEED that death.

Doesn't the mind gem also give his AI....consciousness? like the mind gem created Ultron.

Jarvis's matrices give Vision his consciousness (Ultron was going to upload himself into Vision's body, which would've brought Vision to life essentially, but Tony and Banner beat him to it). I believe the mind stone gives Vision his powers and abilities: flight, omnipotence, ability to change density.

I'm fairly certain the Vision wouldn't be a fully intelligent and free-willed being without the influence of the Mind Stone. The Jarvis AI provided the template, but the Stone invested it with depth.
