BvS Geoff Johns, David Goyer and Zack Snyder mapping out entire DCCU!?

This idea has "meh" written all over it.

Christopher Nolan and wife Emma Thomas have stepped down from Man of Steel sequel as Executive Producers..

Geoff Johns and David Goyer both replaced them as Executive Producers..

I have no problem with them mapping out an entire DCU. I don't see the problem at all. At least it's a conbined effort if they are indeed doing such a thing.

Still, all speculation at this point.

It could be the best thing to happen to the DCCU I think.

Basically mapping it out just like Kevin Fiege and his team do for Marvel.

Batfleck and Terrio taking over the Batman franchise..

Zack Snyder having Superman & Justice League..

Everything else up for grabs

Goyer, I'm fine with in that role. He's always been a good ideas man.

Geoff Johns on the other hand probably should be kept far away from movies, and I'm not just saying that because of Green Lantern either.

Goyer, Johns, & Snyder?

I rather hire these guys.

Replace Johns with Bruce Timm and now we're cooking.

Actually wait. Don't do that. The DC animated movies will suffer.

I'm iffy on that team.

And on the idea of "mapping" it all out a la Marvel for mass-production. It hasn't done their movies any favors in terms of quality.

Eh, not into it.

Timm hasn't done an animated film since TDKR. They are still doing good.

Replace Johns with Timm,
replace Goyer with Terrio,
and replace Snyder with Affleck.

Now we're cooking.

What about Green Lantern? Was there a movie or something?

:D

I remember back in 2008 they were talking about making a Green Lantern film with Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan :funny:

It would have been like Nicolas Cage's Superman.

Lucky they cancelled production before it ever saw the light.

I wouldn't want Timm as head of DCCU. Goyer is a good ideas man and very good at general plot outlining. Nolan has clearly rubbed off on the way he thinks.

Johns knows the source inside out and look at Justice League #1 in the new 52.. that is made for movie adaptation.

Snyder is the one that I'm iffy on. Visually yes. Storywise meh

Replace Johns with Timm, YES
replace Goyer with Terrio, YES
and replace Snyder with Affleck. NOOOOOO

Now we're cooking.

I don't want Affleck directing anything in the DCCU besides a Batman film.

I did read Justice League 1 and the New 52 origin. It was ****.

It really was quite bad.

Fortunately his later work for the title like Throne of Atlantis and Forever Evil has been awesome.

Also his work on Green Lantern and Aquaman redefined those characters and recharged their popularity.

Throw Affleck in there too while you're at it.

He seems to know a lot about comics according to Kevin Smith

Is this more than just speculative, at this point? Is this something with anything concrete to back it up with? Cuz, other wise, (fart noise in the wind).

Well Justice League: War then it's the same thing.. I thought it was good

I actually liked War. But they did add a fair bit more story to the movie.

The arc in the comics was basically 2 issues of introductions and then 3 -4 issues of non stop action.

As long as Batman isn't over ****ing 40 years old I'm ok with it.

Well I dont do comics I only do the animated movies and movies..

Justice League: War was good and if made for a cinematic version could easily be fleshed out and swap Captain Marvel with Aquaman for **** sake. HATE Captain Marvel for Justice League. Keep him on his own
