Ghost Riders voice bugged the **** outta me. That's something they for sure need to work on
his voice sounded to...mechanical, cage should either do the voice himself with few to none alterations and if that dont work, get a pro voice man to do it

I'd like to find copies of any Goyer scripts -- I went to the supermarket yesterday and forgot to buy toilet paper.

:hehe:

Goyers strange. He can do something awesome, like completely reinventing and reinvigorating Blade.

Or something terrible...too many examples to list.

But honestly, what he did with the first Blade should garner him respect. Blade didn't even have his own comic, he was a nobody. Then BANG. He's back, all thanks to Goyer basically.

ace, wat u doin up at 4:30?
yeah hid blade and bats work should garner the chance for his script to mkae it to screen

damn you, i have temporary insomnia! o well, i didnt know you were british, or i didnt remember, , so at 7:00 pm overhere its?

I thought it was Cage's voice, just messed with.

I liked when he first turned into the Rider. Started off screaming in pain, then it slowly develops into a maniacal laughter. Brilliant scene.

Really? Because I found it beyond cheesy. I'm sure SOME actors could have made it what you described, but when Cage did it, it was just...as I said, beyond cheesy.

^I thought it was one of the best scene's in the movie, brilliantly done, very creepy and actually quite powerful as well.

Yea there was plenty of cheesy scenes in the movie, but that was definitely not one of them IMO.

The whole laughing whilst burning alive is just ****ing creepy.

Just re-watched it. Found it really enjoyable actually, apart from a few reeeeaallly cheesy moments. I think it is a good film, but the tone needs to be a bit darker for the sequel if they get round to it. And the fight scenes do need to be more kinetic.

Cage gets a lot of hate, but I found his performance enjoyable. I liked the little quirks he brought to the role. He made them up didn't he? Strange choices, but they made Johnny an interesting and eccentric character.

Yeah, some animal effects mixed in too.

edit:
Ghost Rider's voice was manipulated by sound designer Dane Davis, who won an Academy Award for Sound Editing for The Matrix. Davis filtered Cage's line readings through three different kinds of animal growls that were played backwards and covered separate frequencies. Davis then amplified the dialogue through a mechanical volumizer. Director Johnson described the sound as a "deep, demonic, mechanical lion's roar"

Watched again the part of him transforming, to see whether it was cheesy or not. When he screams up into the air and the camera zooms out, that I definitely don't like. But when he got all maniac like and transformed, that was ok.

Skipped through a couple other scenes and I couldn't bare it any longer. The action is so boring, the characters are so lame, that Blackheart guy is still ****ing horrible. Every bloody word was so awefully acted.

I still say the only positive this movie had were the Ghost Rider effects. The rest of it is a waste of celluloid.

Yea Blackheart was so ****ing lame.

I did like that they used Peter Fonda as Mestopholes though, and used his bike from Easy Rider.

Peter Fonda was great, i 2 hated blackheart though, he looked like a villian that would be in power rangers not ghost rider

The couple times you see his real demon face were pretty cool though. Like in the church. But ya, that's about it.

I don't know if I'm alone on this but would anyone want Blackheart back.... as the real damn Blackheart?!?!?!

And honestly I wanna find a copy of Goyers draft.... he's a good writer and if it has the tone of Blade that makes me excited cuz I love the Blade Trilogy

I have chunks of the script and the way I could describe it was...horrific, violent, and bizarre as hell. The action scenes were kinda used by MSJ, but they were definitely PG-13'ed (GR hit by a truck), and the horrific violence was instead used on demons instead of real people.

The aspect I liked the most was Ghost Rider was truly a monster, and a cursed one at that. He was an unstoppable force of nature that sufferred just as bad as his victims when given the penance stare...also JB shared the bullet wounds after he'd transform back.

I hope Goyer has read up on the recent Ghost Rider story arc's written by Jason Aaron and also by Garth Ennis. There are some great story arc's that could be written from those stories.

In November the first 10 issues of the Dan Ketch series will be getting released as a trade. those were a good start. Hell, the first 24 issues of the series was a good 2 years to start off.

Volume 2 of the Essential GR series from the first Blaze series comes out next week. The first 2 were great reads if you like that 70s Grindhouse style writing.

I say avoid Road to Damnation, HammerLane (even though I still like the damn story) and Trail of Tears. And just for the hell of it, if you can find Ghost Rider, Wolverine and Punisher: Hearts of Darkness, get it. Great story, even better art.

Who was the villian in Goyers script?
I heard that they are a bunch of devil motorcyclists trying to bring Zarathos to the human realm.
I would really like to see Scarecrow and Vengeance.
