Ghostbusters 3!

Do consider how nicely an idea this is. They obviously all are too old and fat to do a live version but a voice is more doible. Look at Shrek. A CGI ghostbusters could be good and make the doe but they should get the cast as the voices. Including Sigourny and the women who played Janine.

Shrek!?!? That's just the tip of the c.g.i. iceberg. The success of this film could be a deciding factor in the making of Star Wars Episodes 7, 8, & 9.

I hope they actually greenlight this thing and it ends up not sucking.

I hope the guys that made shrek , does the CGI for GB3............... God it feels cool to write "GB3" again

I'm not going to hold my breath

but dammit I am excited:(

I like this idea a lot and I hope it happens. I love Ghostbusters.

CGI flicks won't ever replace live actors, but there is so much more that could be done with them. I'm tired of CGI animated movies with talking animals.

I saw a thread earlier today talking about a toon version of Star Wars that used the sound from the OT. Awesome idea.

What if they went this route for Indiana Jones? Maybe not for Indy 4...but if a stand-alone CGI Indy movie was announced, would people go for that? You'd have to keep voice talent somewhat consistent but that might not be too hard. FF: Spirits Within proved to me that you can do CGI humans believably.

My tiny head is swimming with possibilities at the moment.

It could work. It shouldnt looke like Polar Express or Final Fantasy but more like The Incredibles or Shrek. I hint of toon elements mixed with realism.

I would have preferred a live-action Ghostbusters 3, but I guess this is better than nothing.

No I'd rather it have realism. And they could set the film in the early 90s. So I would guess 2009 or 2010 for this film.

Depends on when they get started and what animation process they use. It would be great if they used that motion capture stuff that was used on Polar Express and Monster House.

I wonder if they'll look like they do in the comics...

Sony Pictures Imageworks did the motion capture for Monster House and Polar Express plus effects/animation for 94 other films.

^ So, I guess thats what we'll be getting.

i wonder if the CGI will make them look realistic and not like cartoons...IDK Hopefully they don't do it like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. I mean it seems to be aight but I like the realistic version a lot better. Nothing beats reality. A good example is that Harrison Ford might not do Indiana Jones IV b/c they want him to have a CGI whip b/c of safety reasons and he's debating if he really wants to do the movie now...I think it's quite ridicious that they wouldnt give him the whip.

This is the concept art for the Xbox 360 game, something similiar to this would be great.

BADASS!

When is that supposed to be out?

Ghostbusters Game Back On?
Dan Akroyd believes he will be busting ghosts in 2008.
by Hilary Goldstein

February 2, 2007 - During an interview with The Edmonton Sun, a Canadian tabloid, former Ghostbuster Dan Akroyd gave hope to millions of Bust-nuts. "Universal purchased the rights from Sony for a [Ghostbuster] game," Akroyd told the Sun. "I'm actually going to have to perform and do some motion capture for them. That will be next year."

This comes just a few weeks after a video was posted on YouTube showing off an Xbox 360 demo of a proposed Ghostbuster game. ZootFly, the European developer responsible for the footage, confirmed that due to some licensing issues the game was on hold.

Actors are often far out of the loop when it comes to game development. It's possible that Akroyd was contracted to take part in the game, but was not yet aware it had been put on hold. It could also mean that the rights to a Ghostbuster game has been delivered to a different developer and is to be published by Universal's games division, Vivendi.

Vivendi could not be reached for comment at the time of this posting.

hahahaha

i'm lovin' the idea of a cgi ghostbusters movie...but then again i'm severly biased because i love 3d. i think that, eventually, cg movies will become as common as live action movies. i have no problems with cg considering it has the power to pull off stuff like this...

Make it a PG-13 For it should be dark in spooky in places like the real ghostbusters was.
