Ghostbusters 3

I'd rather the limit of gross-out sex jokes to be low in GB3 (if it happened).
Why would their be alot of those jokes in a movie where their are not much?

Remember its not being written by anyone from the Apatow Crew.

Its fromn the writters of the office.

To the Apatow haters-

We have to be realistic here, we have very few choices for Hollywood comedy: Happy Madison or Apatow, and I choose Apatow lol. I'd rather see Seth and Steve in the GB duds rather than Sandler and..well...his crew I guess.

Although I would like to see Justin Long play a GB.

A part of me wants to see the old crew in action. They had a certain comedic wit to those movies that only Bill and Co. could pull off.

"Cats and dogs living together, mass histeria"

BUT...If they go with a new group, then yeah, I think you hit it on the nail with giving Justin Long the lead for it. He reminds me of a young Bill Murrary, and he just looks to fit in a movie like that. Please keep Sandler and all of Happy Madison production team away from it.

But keep the sexual humor/pot humor to a minimum. Get back to classic comedie styles, not just sticking with what we are use to these days.

Well all the articles that talked about the office writers being hired say its with the old crew pending once the script is finished and if they all agree to appear. So like i and others have said before its probably going to be the old crew retiring and giving up the business to a younger group of guys so we get the old crew for awhile and a new crew too. We will just have to wait for more news on the script and once its finished and all that.

Harold Ramis confirms 'Ghostbusters III'

I just received this e-mail from Harold Ramis confirming the forward progress on a third "Ghostbusters" movie (as mentioned earlier here), with Judd Apatow, some of his regular actors and perhaps Bill Murray involved:

"yes, columbia is developing a script for GB3 with my year one writing partners, gene stupnitsky and lee eisenberg. judd apatow is co-producing year one and has made several other films for sony, so of course the studio is hoping to tap into some of the same acting talent. aykroyd, ivan reitman and i are consulting at this point, and according to dan, bill murray is willing to be involved on some level. he did record his dialogue for the new ghostbusters video game, as did danny and i, and ernie hudson. the concept is that the old ghostbusters would appear in the film in some mentor capacity. not much else to say at this point. everyone is confident a decent script can be written and i guess we'll take it from there.
best,
harold

OK, so we're picturing Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson showing the ghost-busting ropes to Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, James Franco and Michael Cera. (Ramis already memorably and warmly played Rogen's dad in "Knocked Up.") Maybe Jason Segel or Craig Robinson fit in there somewhere.

Is this a "Ghostbusters" you'd want to call?

Nice article, i hope this works out and we get a good film, we will just have to wait and see what happens with the script and what is the roles of the old crew and who will play new crew and all that. As i said before i really hope they include dana's son to be a buster.

It's impossible not to be excited about this on some level.

What do you mean you don't know?

people were asking and asking for it and finally when its about to go people start to question it.

What do you expect, man? People will beg and beg for it, but when they finally get it, they look the gift horse in the mouth.

I'll be honest, I'm a little weary of it, but right now I'm just too damn excited!

I think its gonna finally happen. They've found the new actors they were looking for to possibily take over the franchise.

Like i said i've been waiting since lik 1989 or so for GB3 So i'm damn hyped!

was knida hoping for the original cast, not new poeple. I don't like judd apatow's movies. But that's not saying I'm not happy they're making a new one.

So what? I'm supposed to jump for joy and say "this is gonna be the greatest movie everz and your opinion doesn't matterz" like the TDK fanboys were?

I am very excited for this, but I cannot help but be a bit weary.

It said the oirginal guys are gonna be back.

Everyone seems to be forgetting that part.

Yeah, but they won't be the stars of the movie. Not that I have a problem with that. But that will definetely be missed.

No, I dont expect you to do that, and I'm a little weary too. I wasnt specifically referring to you. I just know that there will be plenty of a**holes out there who have been b****ing that there is no GB3 for years, but once this info comes out, they will be all "Oh this is bulls***, blah blah blah."

Mostly folks on IMDb.

They're too old thats why. They've waited too long to do it.

They're all in their 60's or close to it. And in no way or shape or form for a movie thats prolly gonna have lots of action and all kinds of moving around.

They're be in it just not the main stars but will have imput and help them out.

Or they are happy a third one is being made. But not who's writing it or maybe starring in.

I know a few want a script written by Dan and Harodl and star in it also.

Ok it's good news to hear that Eisenberg and Stupnitysky are writhing a script for Ghostbusters 3, but does this mean it will actually happen? I don't think so. We've been hearing Ghostbuters news for years now and nothing came from it and just because a script is being done doesn't mean the actors will be on board for it. If the film was going to be done I'd expect Aykroyd and Ramis to write it. The lack of script from them tells me they are not interested. Plus Murray said he will never do a Ghostbusters.

Okay, why would Sony Hire someone to write a high profile film if they weren't gonna make it?

Thats just like making a big turkey dinner taking hours and just throwing it away after making and not eating.
