Anyhow, if this ever does happen, I maintain that the perfect cast would be as follows:

Charlie Day (as Oscar):

With these folks as the supporting Ghostbusters

Dule Hill:

Josh Radnor:

In fact, I'd argue that Ramis and Akroyd should consider bringing in the Sunny guys to help the script. Howerton, McElhenney, and Day have some of the freshest comedic voices today and were clearly at least partially inspired by Ramis and Akroyd's work (hell, they did a Ghostbusters parody episode of Sunny that proves that). Getting those three to work with Akroyd and Ramis on a script to make the concept funny and relevant to a modern audience would work really well, I think..

While I would absolutely love to see Charlie Day in a "Ghostbusters" movie, he's way too old to play Oscar. Oscar was only a baby in 1989 and Charlie Day is like 33.

andrew garfield is like, 27 and is playing a young spider-man.
aaron johnson is 20 and playing a 16 year old.

we'd be fine with charlie as Oscar.

I like Charlie Day as Oscar. It'd be really easy to buy that he's Venkman's son...

Exactly. Neither Venkman or Dana were particularly attractive people. Someone like Charlie Day would be perfect. Plus, weren't there reports that Oscar is going to be a chip off the old block. Kind of a slacker, ne'er do well who just coasts through life until his mother forces him to join so he could actually hold a job. Day would fit that perfectly.

The difference is Garfield and Johnson actually look young.

I thought Weaver was sort of attractive in Ghostbusters. In... some ways... :o

Exactly. Charlie Day looks 33. Garfield and Johnson don't even look like they can grow facial hair. Charlie would be great in "Ghostbusters", just not as Oscar.

Yeah, Sigourney Weaver was her own kind of beautiful. Not conventional but she had something going on missing in a lot of actresses today.

She was attractive enough, but if the last few minutes of Alien was any indication, she really has no ass....

James Roday for Oscar. His character Shawn Spencer in Psych is actually very Venkman-ish in his mocking disbelief in the supernatural and his opportunism. He has very good comic timing as well.

He's the same age as Charlie Day. Are there no good comedic actors born between 1985 and 1990 that could play Oscar?

sure seems that way

i do hope we get another video game at least

last year's Ghostbusters game was fun

The game was fun, that I admit, but I felt like there should of been a "create your own Ghostbuster feature". Instead of having a preset guy, wouldn't you just love to see yourself a GB?:woot:

Steve Martin for Oscar. :o

Kirk Douglas for Oscar.

Killed the joke for Oscar. :csad:

Lets just pray that idiot annoying actors like Efron, Cera, Rogen or Shia are NOT cast in this GB3 film.

It would ruin it.....

Do you mean those four or just anyone that's popular in Hollywood right now?
If you specifically mean those four then yeah there is much more inspired casting they can use.

I knew there was a reason I loved you Matt.

Though i would have Dule play against type to an extent. It would be too obvious to have him as the Egon of the group.
