His friend is a *****. If he liked that chick, then he should have grown a pair and asked her out. He didn't so she was open to another person asking her out.

In this case, it's TW. The only person TW's friend should me mad at is himself

I'm making exceptions since they are probably both 17. I doubt either are the pinacle of human maturity at that age. And I already said before, TW should know one of his best friends, even he hasn't verbialized it, he should know whether or not it actually bothers him.

Tough **** if it does. At 17, one should understand that relationships aren't going to happen just because one may have a crush. Relationships happen when someone asks that other person out, and that other person says "sure, that sounds cool", and then afterward set up another one.

TW's friend didn't do that. He just had a crush on the chick and FAILED TO ACT ON IT.

At 17, you don't think that far ahead and think relationships last longer than they actually do. If he's been best friends with this guy for so many years, is it worth it for a high school relationship that probably won't pan out the school year?

And I'm a stickler for honesty from a friend. There is a difference between just being loyal, and screwing yourself over. His friend wasn't married to this girl. Hell, he never even dated her. All he did was have a crush on her. That is in no way a big deal.

If the friend has that big of a problem with other people dating her, then he should have manned up before and see if it would have worked out, or at the very least tell his friend that he doesn't like him dating her. If the firend does neither, then TW has every right to do what makes him happy.

I'm just telling TW to be sure first. He knows his friend, he should know how he really feels.

Dude if things work out with this girl great. But just make sure your friend is cool with it. Chances are he is but you state he is one of your best friends, just be sure.
