I'd rather have a show tribute. RENT... Sweeney Todd... Sound of Music.... whatever. Just not a pop artist.

:doom: :doom: :doom:

Yeah, I'm all fine with show tributes. Can't wait for Rocky Horror. :atp:

I want a Hairspray tribute real bad, but don't know how they'd go about doing that one.

Kinda impossible. Unless they put Rachel in a fat suit. And put the rest of the kids in black face.

LULZ. Yeah, exactly what I was thinking. Though the thought of a fat Rachel really amuses me. :hehe:

I would like a Sondheim episode. Sweeney is his best, but it might be a bit forced and quite frankly some of the songs they could not do due to the subject matter (unless they do "A little Priest" for humor with Kurt and Mercedes thinking of people they don't like...Or Sue and Santana...actually that'd be great!).

But that way you can pull from Sweeney, as well as Gypsy, A Little Night Music, etc. Sweeney is preferred, but a wide range of songs might be for the best.

I could see them doing Gypsy. They already did Rose's Turn. Chris or Lea's voice would probably sound great on Everything's Coming Up Roses.

They should do Diva's Lament and You Won't Succeed on Broadway from Spamalot.

I thought about it and I can't think of a big group show stopper. But for the other 5-6:

Song 1: Now, sung by Will, about how he cannot ravish Emma. Cut to generic TV subplot where he miscommunicates afterwards and Emma thinks Will is doing something sad and crazy.

Song 2: After using the experience Will announces Sondheim week. Rachel immediately comes prepared to sing Everything Coming Up Roses.

Song 3: Santana goes off on a fling with Puck again for some reason. Explaining to a shocked glee club her rationale for her promiscuous nature with The Miller's Son.

Song 4: Seeing how hurt Will and Brittany are by recent actions Mercedes and Quinn (or Tina, just two girls) lament over how cruel people are with Everyday A Little Death.

Song 5: Brittany tones down Santana's mood by singing to the Glee Club Johanna, but pronouncing the title of the song, Santana. Cue the usual local theatre route of changing words "yellow hair" to "raven hair." :oldrazz:

Song 6: Emma sings to Will Send in the Clowns.

Song 7: Remarking on how much they hate drama and people's idiocies Kurt and Sue watching a crowd (some school gathering like an assembly or something) sing A Little Priest to each other while changing a few to fit school dynamics (Sue has to work something in about Will).

...Okay, I have only seen Sweeney Todd, Gypsy and A Little Night Music. And I don't have a group number. But that would be fun.

You can probably add some West Side Story songs since, like Gypsy, he wrote the lyrics (not the music).

How about instead of A Little Death you fit in a group number of them all singing America?

Done and done.

Since they're doing ROCKY HORROR this Halloween, they must do LITTLE SHOP next year.

Seymore -Finn
Audrey - Rachel
Orin - Puck
Crystal, Ronette, Chiffon - Mercedes, Santana, Tina
Audrey II - Artie
Mr. Mushnik - Kurt

Songs:
Little Shop Of Horrors
Skid Row (Downtown)
Grow For Me
Somewhere That's Green
Dentist!
Feed Me (Git It)
Suddenly Seymore

If they do a Sondheim episode, they'd better do some "Company." That's my favorite Sondheim show (though Sweeney is great too).

Good episode this week, the whole religious angle was well enough handled IMO and Finn getting out acted by grilled Cheesus was no surprise, of the songs I felt Puck's and Mercedez first were the best, the Bridge over troubled water cover was overdone but saved by the constant hilarious visual of Kurt's hat which swooped in and stole the star plaudits from grilled Cheesus at the 11th hour!

yeah, i will say this was probably the best episode out of the 3 so far of season 2

It won't. Boy is as gay as two dollar bills. So many hints, even some in the previews for this episode.

But I thought the other new guy is going to be gay? :csad:
