I'm looking forward to One of Us.

In retrospect, I think I probably would've enjoyed the Toxic scene more if they didn't show Jacob and the fat chick having full-on raging orgasms over 50% of the number.

i thought that was majorly overkilled

We respect them more than most straight guys do for sure.

I don't know about that, but then other than here I don't know any gay guys or guys that seem to take issue with successful attractive women.

That is a load. It is both generalizing and offensive.
Whatever. I've always stood behind that belief and I certainly don't see women who have problems with other women being powerful or beautiful or gay men who have an issue with it.

But I'm not discussing it cause it has nothing to do with Glee.

bill you were generalizing.... it's almost like a cultural "have to" for gay men... and i know plently of women who just don't really care to think about the subject. Sure straight men arn't going to go out and buy a bunch of madonna posters and put them on there wall and call her there inspirational icon, but that doesn't mean they don't appreciate a powerful woman.

There's also far more straight men in the world then gay. You generalized on a subject in which there is no answer to. Because you can't get into everyones heads.

and no i'm not attacking you, but if you flipped the tables and someone said "gay men don't appreciate iconic/empowering men" I think you'd know how people feel.

 We don't agree often Spideyboy, but well said.

P.S. love the sig. Hopefully the Court doesn't over turn it, because if they do it will take a Constitutional amendment to legalize gay marriage and considering the process necessary that could be a good 30 years off. So hopefully SCOTUS does the right thing (though I have little faith in the Roberts Court).

I will agree with what others said on the last page that teens being excited today for Britney Spears--particularly the boys like ARtie, Puck, and Finn rang very false.

Though the actors are the average age of 24 and did grow up with Britney Spears in middle school and high school, their characters are 16-17, all

That means when Spears hit it big with "Baby, One More Time" they all would have been 4 yrs old. When her music career ended with that K-Fed marriage they would have been 9-10.

While the girls may really like the songs "Womanizer" and "Circus," chances are they just really don't care. Britney Spears was the generation before them. The same way most kids, particularly boys, were not geeking out over Madonna or Cindy Lauper when Britney Spears and the boy band craze was in vogue.

These kids freaking out over Lady Gaga or Katy (gag) Perry? Sure. Britney Spears? Not so likely.

Except her music career didn't end with the K-Fed marriage. 3 number one hit singles after it, a successful sold out tour, and an anticipated follow up album say that Britney still has a fairly strong musical career.

And you know these are kids in a Glee club, just because a song or artist started before their birth doesn't mean they can't be exposed to his/her music and like it.

It does when they seem to complain any time Schue brings them anything by a noncontemporary artirst, unless it is plot convenient (like Madonna or Britney)

Can't be serious...
Deathly so. I've never seen a woman protest Oprah, Ellen, Angelina Jolie, Hilary Clinton, etc.

But I'm done talking about it, because time and time again on this very forum I've seen men (which a majority of them are straight cause like Spidey said more straight men then gay men in the world.) say sexist comments in regards to them all.

Only Jolie is considered sexy out of those and she is trashed all the time by catty women, especially those with an Aniston love.

To be honest, they were right about Shue. Christopher Cross? Really? Michael Bolton? He's bringing them people who no one should care about. People who have just as much of a legacy of being musical sappy overload than genuinely good artists.

If they did it when he brought them say Journey, Queen, Michael Jackson, Kiss, Billy Joel, or The Boss? Sure. But really? Michael Bolton?

Schue is definitely very stuck in his past and it hurts the club because of it.

So seeing a minority do something gives you the justification to make a broad generalization about all men? What if I said that all gay men are *****y, feminine, divas like Kurt? Would that comment be justified because a small minority of gay men act that way? Absolutely not. It works both ways though.

Eh.

This has nothing to do with Glee. Really guys, move on.

You shouldn't start a discussion and then when proven wrong say, "Eh, it has nothing to do with this topic, move on."

Not proven wrong. :o

I just know I'm going to get a little too passionate about this and end up doing something stupid so I'd rather not discuss this. That's all.

OK I'm watching the episode again and when Kurt first mentions Britney Spears everyone looks excited except for Finn and Puck. I don't think they cared whether they did Britney or not.

people don't tend to randomly spout positive comments though, so negative comments become alot more noticeable. That's the way it is with everything though.

and plenty of women have protested both hilary and ellen before and still today. Hell the anti-gay protesters and republicans always do that for them.
