Gods & Men: The Ancient Myths RPG: Chapter 1 OOC Thread

Approved. Bout damn time. Also, expect a couple posts from me by the end of the night.

Roster has been updated.

And here's the fleshed out stats for a werebear...

Lycanthrope (Werebear): Alternate Form (As an act of will, the lycanthrope may change it's form to that of a animal or a human/animal hybrid. This ability can be used whenever the lycanthrope desires and the lycanthrope retains it's normal intelligence in all forms); Low-Light Vision (able to see twice as far as a human can in torchlight, starlight, moonlight and similar poorly lit conditions and is able to distinguish color and detail. Only available in animal or hybrid form); Scent (The sense of smell of lycanthropes are much more attuned than that of a human. As such they are able to distinguish between specific scents in the immediate area and smells traveling down wind. They may also track others via their sense of smell. This ability is only available in animal or hybrid form); Nature Sense (Werebears are creatures of the wilds, living a life in tune with nature. As such, they have a vast knowledge of local flora and fauna in their homelands. Even in foreign lands, werebears can usually tell if a plant is edible or not, or if it might have other properties by the smell, taste, look, or feel of it); Curse of Lycanthropy (A lycanthrope may pass it's affliction onto others with a simple bite. When a lycanthrope bites a normal human, there is a chance of the disease getting passed on to the victim); Average life span is same as the base race
Strength: Same as base race (same as animal in animal form; much stronger in hybrid form)
Speed/Reaction Time: Same as base race (same as animal in animal form; faster in hybrid form)
Endurance/Durability: Same as base race (same as animal in animal form; more durable in hybrid form)
Agility: Same as base race (same as animal in animal form; same as an average man in hybrid form)

Hey guys, maybe we should have the applications for each character linked on the roster like CAH and DC:NA are doing? For this RPG, it just makes sense. Also, it is helpful to refresh our memories about the other characters should we get into any multiple arcs or interactions. :clown:

Also, I aim to get a post up tonight. Definitely for Caed...still trying to get into words what I wish to get done with Centirius as far as my first IC post. :O

I like the idea for the links to the apps. With the roster in it's own post, it won't really take up that much more space against the max post size either.

Look for the app links to be added sometime tomorrow if GL or Ferret don't get to it first.

To help, I do not mind going through the OOC pages and providing the links of the applications in a post so you guys can edit it into the first post. Not too hard, and I always get time on my hands from time to time during work.

Just throwing it out there cause I would like it done quickly. :clown:

Is Q not returning as his Vampire character? I figured if he knew it was up and running again he may return.

Roster should be updated with links... Connection timed out on me, and I didn't check yet to make sure.

I wanted to know if the following was an issue:

- I wanted to bring in a character, but I was afraid because of his name. He will be a wizard or such named Merlin, but bares no tie to the Camelot tale obviously; just wanted to use the name.

- I wanted to bring in a character, but I was hoping I could introduce a new part of the G&M world as well: Cherryblossom Forest. It would be one of the biggest Kingdoms in the land of Faeries. And the King's name was going to be Ace. Would I have to type up a small little paragraph for you guys to add it as one of the landmarks? If this is an issue, I can always find a way around it so I can still use it, since my Bard's tale takes place very far into the past.

Since it's just the name and the character is not the Merlin I have no problem with that.

You don't have to do a small write-up on your location for Places of Interest if you don't want to. It's only there to provide info so that other people can use the created location(s) if they wish.

And it's good to see you finally jumping in with Aithne, Twy. :yay:

Cool. If you have been enjoying what I've done thus far (although at a sluggish pace :(), then as I introduce Ace and a few other stuff like Merlin, you should be pleased.

One question about Lycanthropes...I know I'm a human Lycanthrope, but is the lifespan different? Or does it depend on the race?

Advanced Races include: beholders, illithids, powerful undead (liches, vampires, mummies, etc.), demons, dragons, celestials, other planar creatures (slaadi, genies, etc.), elementals and sphinxes.

<---expects to be grandfathered into the game.

I POSTED DARN IT! :cmad:

Also what -is- the status of Fairies in this game? I kinda need to know. :o

Dunno the status of faeries, although I will be using them soon. But my story takes way way way in the past, so a lot of what I do may not matter.

Take for instance, the two civilizations I've used thus far, are in ruin present day.
