Me too dude, just saw that tv spot. And that part is just :wow:

I'll be getting all of those upcoming Godzilla re-releases on Blu-Ray, ESPECIALLY, DESTROY ALL MONSTERS! I honestly missed out on the chance to get back it back in 2011, I foolishly thought it would still be in-stock until the whole troublesome ordeal between Classic Media and Toho about the unapproved extra features release. Then it went out-of-print, and I just ended up regretting not having it. Same with Son of Godzilla, Godzilla vs. Gigan, Godzilla vs. Hedorah, and Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla when they went out-of-print and I never took the time in buying them.

But now all of that appears to be resolved, which explains the new spark in bringing DAM back. Although this time, it'll be barebones, which is fine, having DAM on Bluray with a full menu and chapter selection is all I need :D Can't wait!

I'll be getting King Kong vs. Godzilla soon, ordered it recently, it'll be here either on Monday or Tuesday. :)

EDIT: All I can say now is that, Godzilla fans here, don't miss out in getting there updated releases, who knows how long they'll last so get them while you can! And as a side note, I hope get a Mothra vs. Godzilla and Godzilla vs. Monster Zero Blu-Ray release soon.

I just so happen to have the ADV release of Destroy All Monsters on DVD from 2008. It's a great copy and it's super clear :D

So apparently, a Godzilla clip was shown followed by Aaron Taylor-Johnson giving out the award for "Best Fight" on the MTV Movie Awards earlier.

Also, a tv spot aired during another time of the program.

Did anybody catch it?

I heard it was just one of the TV spots we've already seen. No new clip.

It's meant to be a joke for those *****ing about the size of his head on the figure Gareth Edwards had that was pretty much the final design that was shown in the Godzilla: Art of Destruction art book...

That toy picture just made me laugh out loud so hard I teared up.

I'm not yet convinced this will be a 'must-see' movie that brings something new to the table.

Monster arrives, knocks down skyscrapers... that's pretty much it. There's nothing much more you can do with the material, aside from improved special effects and a more faithful version to the Emmerich effort.

Gareth Edwards seems to be a good director (Monsters was very good) - plus he comes from a town right near to me - but I'm on the fence about whether I feel compelled to see this...

Superheroes stop bad guys, that's about it, yet we get 4 of those flicks a year.

I had to laugh a few years ago when the two biggest films of the summer both ended with "Billionaire superhero apparently sacrifices self to fly a nuclear bomb away from the city."

I've been reading a column by Terry Rossio and be posted his treatment for Godzilla that was tossed out in favor of the ID4 guys

I gotta say, it seems like the 2014 Godzilla is the best compared to the other 3 American versions (1 filmed, others cancelled) for one major reason: Godzilla is actually in the 2014 one; he wasn't in the other three. What I mean by that is: in the proposed Godzilla 3D from 1983, he was an alien and there was a female Godzilla too; in the 1994 project, he was created by Atlantis with alien-like technology; and finally, in the 1998 film, he was a mutated iguana. Does that sound like Godzilla? I would even say if you took Godzilla out, replaced it with something else and left everything else alone, nothing would be different, which shows what I'm talking about. Even if the '94 Godzilla looked like Godzilla, his character and origins weren't. 2014 Godzilla looks like Godzilla, and from what we've known so far from trailers, interviews, and the toys, so is his character and origins.

This. Plus, there is clearly more than "monster knocks stuff over" going on in the trailers and TV spots.

Because there's no human element right? Bryan Cranston along with the chaos and destruction have not been the focal point of the trailers/TV spots up until this point right?

:o

I'm not even a huge fan of monster movies, and I'm excited for this mainly due to Cranston and Watanabe.
