Godzilla has always had that appeal. It's a monster wrecking **** and already has name recognition by parents who will be like, "I know him!"

Still its indicative of how much they dropped the ball in marketing Pacific Rim. They didn't bother to promote to the demographic that stood to like it the most.

With Godzilla we're getting high end NECA toys but there are also a variety of every day kid toys.

Pacific Rim never had that, just limited edition NECA toys whose price inflated drastically overnight. If you are a kid who like Pacific Rim you're kind of SOL.

Not anymore, NECA recently just put out a 3rd series of Pacific Rim figures. They're good prices at Amazon. They even have a 4th and 5th series planned as well. Pacific Rim toys are much more abundant and cheaper than last year. Hell, they're even re-releasing Striker Eureka and Crimson Typhoon in the summer.

^That's pretty great. I'd say it could use some work but its actually perfectly in line with the original poster.

I just turned to look at the original poster on my wall and the one thing that they should have done in this fan poster is place Aaron Taylor-Johnson in between Olsen and Cranston. Other than that, it's pretty damn cool.

About to resume my Godzilla Movie Marathon tonight with the first film in the Heisei Series "The Return of Godzilla" and also "Godzilla 1985." Today is April 16 which means there's literally ONE MORE MONTH until The King makes him (hopefully) triumphant return to the big screen. Get hyped!

For the American version with Raymond Burr, yes. For the Japanese version, I have a copy of the MonstersHD version, which is, to date, the only real high quality version of the film.

I think there was showings of both versions. Both versions where shown by the cable network MonstersHD on a film mastered 35mm print. It was also shown in a widescreen format.
