Biollante is one of my favorite Godzilla movies, personally. Biollante is also one of my favorite Toho monsters; the character design is SICK.

Agreed on all accounts. It's a damn good movie and Biollante is quite an achievement in puppetry and wire work. I'm still surprised they were able to get that thing to move they way it did.

The animated Godzilla series based on the 98 Zilla comes out on DVD Tuesday. 40 episodes. I MIGHT get it.

Definitely getting it. Next to the soundtrack of the 98 film, the best thing that came out of Zilla 98 IMO.

I think I'll pick it up. That animated series was an far better attempt at an American Godzilla than Roland Emmerich's attempt.

Godzilla Junior breaths fire, fights other monsters, is pretty strong against the military. It's good stuff, and the monster designs Godzilla rights are some of the best I've ever seen. It's a shame the run it had on TV wasn't used well.

In the shot of the Vegas strip showing the wreckage you can see a MUTO walking at the top of the shot. Hadn't seen that in the other trailers.

New IMAX poster. I need this like yesterday.

Everytime the trailer is shown in cinemas I get more hyped. I love the general direction this movie is heading.

My only problem is that ... well ... even though Big G looks good, I can't shake the man-in-a-suit feeling. Pretty sure that feeling will disappear once I've seen the movie though :)

I liked Godzilla '95 for what it was. Far from perfect but entertaining nontheless. She went out like a b*tch though. Could ram herself through buildings but an itsy-pitsy-tiny cable was more than she could handle. Gah! No ... NO! I lied! I hated G'95 :(

Too many repressed memories.

That IMAX poster is BOSS, I hope we get a copy for the first IMAX showing I go to!

This movie has had one of the best poster campaigns I've ever seen.

I find the difference between reactions for Godzilla and Amazing Spidey 2 pretty funny. Looking at general comments on Facebook, sites, etc each new trailer for Spider-Man was unwanted and frowned on whereas even a small bit of Godzilla footage or new poster is eaten up. I guess it shows which studio knows how to promote a movie.

Also, that IMAX poster is awesome

Damn, everything I see from this movie has awesomeness written all over it. Especially the posters which are just amazing.

That movie came out in '98, a couple others said that just above on this page. I remember that year pretty well, the Half-Life PC game came out that year and so did Massive Attack's album Mezzanine.

A friend of mine was telling me that he thought this movie looked stupid because (in his opinion) it looks like the 1998 Godzilla movie.

After staring at him dumbfounded for about 10 or 20 minutes, I did my best to convince him that this movie will be nothing like that. Seriously though, how can anyone think this looks bad? Even if you don't like these types of movie... just everything here looks fantastic.

I just hope the movie lives up to the expectations. You can make anything look good in teasers and even trailers. I'm pretty sure you can find trailers for the Star Wars prequels that looks good, and then the movies themselves were the worst thing ever. I think we can all agree that in order for a movie to be really good today, just having good graphics and visual style won't cut it. If the script falls flat or the movie doesn't hold up, good visuals alone won't save it.

So while it looks spectacular, I really hope the script, plot and characters make this a good movie.

The trailers and stuff make this seems like a serious disaster movie...but for all we know the characters are making dick and fart jokes throughout. We may even see them run into a giant pile of Godzilla turd. :o

Not unless Jeff Goldbum is there to say "that's one big pile of crap" though. ;)

Nah, Michael Bay is not involved.
