Why so?It would be total BS if Kong were to win.
Why so?
Because he has fur and Godzilla is a walking flamethrower.
Because Godzilla shrugs off every weapon known to man and Kong gets cut by a helicopter.
because whenever Kong’s is not in the same universe with Godzilla he gets killed by bullets.
Iconically Kong is known for picking up girls and getting machine gunned.
OTOH Godzilla is known for kicking the butt of every other Kaiju, eating nuke plants and steamrolling any humans foolish enough to stand against him.
The concept of the movie is already bad, if Kong wins it becomes the biggest case of jobbing of all time. A battle between the Home Alone kid and the Predator makes more sense.

Yes, that’s the way it works. I’m guessing it will be a draw then the eventual team up.Like I stated before, Kong is the underdog, so by Hollywood logic he's already gonna win by default.

Mammoths didn't have flamethrowers and the ability to swim. I'm with @regnak on this one. Unless Godzilla is at a serious disadvantage, or Kong is somehow superpowered, it makes little sense that Kong would win. All of the Monsters we've met (or will meet) thus far have had an edge. Kong is just a Gorilla. If cavemen could kill mammoths Kong can take on big Geee, Just make him smartsy.

).Godzillas fire so far is a slow moving predictable weapon. With this being said i know kong could dodge it so i dont see it being an issue
The reason kong will most likely dominate this fight is his sheer intelligence and experience taking down similar foes.
Now here is what Kong Skull island told us
Kong can bait his foes-see the giant octopus scene
Kong is battle scarred and can read his enemies-see his fight with the monsters on that island both scene and unseen.
Kong as an adolescent has grown up training every day to live in a threatening environment
Now-this is where he will take the battle if all of that fails and Godzilla somehow gets better at melee combat-Kong can use tools and weapons-see the trees vs the helicopters and more importantly the boat parts being used as a mace.
He will be stronger than Godzilla without a doubt-
Is already faster as he stood in Skull island
Has not been hanging out at the bottom of the ocean and has way more tko’s than Godzilla even post KOM
He is also better with communication and even knows humans and can take suggestion
Now-as for disadvantages-Water and Godzillas hide-but i bet he can use weapons to get through it and a good hit from him will knock Godzilla clean off his feet.
I dont think that the movie will be about those to agianst each other-i hope its then against man and a bunch if other monsters until they are all thats left.
This all being said we need a good story to carry this match up well above good effects and battle scenes.
Plot twist, Kong will show up in a Batsuit.Training no Kong is not Batman, he is giant gorilla.

I fail to see how anyone can honestly argue for Kong here though; sure, he may be more agile, but if we look at Godzilla and the other creatures, they're titans that have existed for aeons. I suppose Kong could have a little more intelligence than Godzilla (cause mammals are depicted as being smarter than reptiles, generally, so if that follows suit, Kong will always be smarter than Godzilla) but stronger? I'm not so sure, I certainly wouldn't think Kong would be more durable that's for certain.
It'll further be interesting to see the size of Kong here, cause whilst he was big on Skull Island, he wasn't remotely big by Godzilla's standards, so is Kong going to have had a serious growth spurt, or will he be at a size disadvantage? If he's remotely sized to Godzilla, then that wall built by the inhabitants of the Skull Island tribe would subsequently be nothing to a fully grown Kong; he'd be able to step on it.
I have faith that Kong vs Zilla will have a good writing team behind it, and that'll it'll work out for the best, but if Kong does (by some miracle) claim victory, there best be a better conclusion than it being the result of a mere fistfight. Godzilla exists to protect the world, what does Kong exist for?
If Kong does win, I have a feeling Godzilla would be disadvantaged in some way which would equalise the fight a bit.
But then again Kong is more intelligent (e.g. can take full advantage of the environment).
Nope.Maybe Godzilla senses that Kong isn't some evil being like King Ghidorah and goes easy on him. Kind of like how Superman restrained himself and didn't beat the holy hell out of Batman in BvS (God, I hate that I keep referencing BvS when talking about this movie).
I'm not sure. Seeing as they utilized a bridge for their 'prisoner exchange' I took it as though the wall was for Kong (too). In the Skull Island version, isn’t the wall for the Skullcrawlers, not Kong?
