I have to wonder whether they'll bring in Mecha-King Ghidorah for the big G and Kong to go up against, or if they'll use Ghidorah's severed head to create another kaiju or so.

Well... Adam Wingard hasn't exactly inspired confidence in the movie given his previous two films.

And with KOTM's mixed reception, yeah, there's some reason to be worried. I do hope he manages to deliver with this, but I'm hesitant at the moment.

My hype has risen for this tremendously after KotM. Granted, I think the prospect of Godzilla vs Ghidorah in KotM excited me more than Godzilla vs Kong does, but at this point we know so little about the project, so that may change.

Well, we know there's gonna be that subplot about the Titans' origins and the human conspiracy that threatens to wipe them all out, so I'm curious to see what that'll be about.

KOTM has set up the franchise to go in any number of crazy directions. So I am pumped. .

Godzilla dying is likely. I do believe the Toho deal ends after 2020, so this would be the last Legendary Godzilla film. That said, I still don't think Kong and Godzilla spend the entire movie as enemies. I think there is a threat like Mechagodzilla or something in this, and ultimately fighting the common threat alongside Kong, Godzilla likely dies and passes the King of the Monsters mantle to Kong.

That would be dumb. It would be the 2nd time Kong outshines Godzilla. We know Kong will somehow win their fight.

I personally hope that Godzilla kicks his ass and utterly dominates Kong .and Kong wins by some sheer lucky situation.

Kong bled from a damn helicopter blade and passed out from fire.

If we take Kong's size and durability and scale it up to Godzilla's size... I can't see how Godzilla doesn't just one or two shot him, but kill and crush him in less than 15 seconds.

2017 Kong to 2019 Godzilla is like Spiderman to Hulk. Even if Kong is his siZe, it isn't NEARLY enough to even survive, much less defeat him
