Godzilla vs Kong (2021)

Yep. I also think the small Zilla is MechaG, and at some point the real G is going to show up and burn its flesh away revealing that its a mech.
I think so too. You can see something that looks like Mechagodzilla on that computer screen at 1:42 in the trailer.

So, our favorite "insider" Grace is saying that they're releasing the Snyder Cut on March 25th and Godzilla vs Kong on the 26th. I have a hard time believing that.

I mean, it would be pretty epic if the last shot of the movie is Kong and ‘Zilla both standing together on a mountain top or something—Kong pounding his chest and Zilla doing his signature roar in sync. Kind of a sign of their mutual respect. It’d be cheesy but a potentially iconic moment.

If MechaZilla is disguised and wearing a skin suit, I'm going to be somewhat disappointed to be honest.

I want mecha to be fully mechanised. The idea that a mechanical construct of Zilla can be given a skin suit in this setting just seems unreal - and yes, I know, it's all fictional anyway, but every fictional film should have an element of credibility in it.

These films are set in the now. That means there's limits to what should be capable. A walking skyscraper with organic skin is not among them.
The trailer has a shot of mechaG without skin. So if it does have skin at the start it will lose it by the end of the film.

Yeah this G is smaller. Some of us think
the small G is MechaG which is shown in the trailer.
Ok makes sense. So big Daddy G will probably not be in the movie until the end?

This director has a low budget horror movie background looking at his IMDB but I feel he gets what this needs to be, a big spectacle popcorn Smackdown! :D: The visuals look spectacular from the Kong and Zilla clashes to the fighter Jet's blasting Zilla as he glides through the water, and the stuff with the little girl and Kong looks like it might give the film a bit of heart lacking in the other movies in this franchise.

This looks fun but man... I felt bad for Rebecca Hall delivering some of those schlocky lines. The dialogue in this is going to be so bad, lol.

So par the course for Godzilla movies lol

To say these aren’t actors’ movies is an understatement. Look at Ken Watanabe trying to give gravitas to his “profound monologues”.

I don't think it will be that extreme. I definitely believe the first fight will be MechaGodzilla in disguise fighting against Kong though and after that, the real Godzilla will pop up.

i can see mecha attacking kong.

i can also see another mecha attacking godzilla.

and then both have to join up at the end to defeat the mechamonsters.

Kinda wish this was a Kaiju version of Step Brothers. With the conflict coming from the wedding of their widowed parents and Godzilla teabagging his nuts on Kong's mountain

I didn’t want salmon! I said it four times!

Ok y'all, this is the LAST friendly warning I'm giving about spoilers. TAG THEM. From now on, we'll start handing out official warnings and time off.
Wait, had I not tagged mine? Sorry about that. ^^'

If the creature was a robot, wouldn't they be able to tell? Also, it was smaller, I feel like they'd be able to tell that as well...like rather quickly.

This is a battle of dads. :lmao:

The Pacific Rim like smackdown somehow felt less impressive then it did 7 years ago. Godzilla is so damn tiny. What happened? He shrink in his old age?Ezia looked amazing as always. Didn't see Henwick though. :(

Kong could probably smell that this doesn't look right or feel right. Something artificial about it

He presumably hasn't encountered a Godzilla in his lifetime, so I'm not sure he would be able to distinguish that this particular Godzilla was a fake. It would be cool for them to indicate that he feels there's something amiss in the back of his mind though.

Right now I'm just really curious on how his team-up with the real Godzilla will come about.

Okay....

So if that is MechaGodzilla, and he is the complete wrong size, how can Kong deal with actual Godzilla? And if he doesn't fight real Godzilla, that is some false advertising. Also, why make a Godzilla who is completely the wrong size? People have seen him before.

Ghidorah's alien overlords are highly intelligent and built a robot clone of Godzilla with ways to shield it from Monarch scans :D

Also, the main reason I bring this up is that Monarch seemed to have high-tech scanners that could detect certain things like when Godzilla went nuclear in the city, needing more nuclear energy, etc.
