Godzilla vs Kong (2021)

How's it going weezerspider, this doesn't particularly qualify as a spoiler per say, because I'm not inquiring specific plot details or anything the like thereof. Quite the contrary I'm actually referring to something everybody has already seen. (The offical clip shown on IGN fanfest) Therefore, I simply want you proper your personal input on the disposition of CGI and other visual effects demonstrated in Godzilla vs. Kong. I'm unsure if you observed this recent snippet, however judging from that specific sequence, the effects seemed rather decent or remotely unimpressive for the most part. As opposed to the prior installments. Frankly the scene was quite rushed. What's your take. Again, I honestly don't intend for you to confide anything pertinent to the film whatsoever, I purely would like to hear your individual perspective on its effects not the movie itself.

Thanks for answering btw!

1. Is there an opening credits like one that was in Godzilla 2014 and Kong: Skull Island with the newsclipping or stock footage?

2. How big of a role does Skull Island play? Does it only appear in the opening and ending?

There is an opening credits that’s like a bracket of Titans showing Godzilla and Kong have defeated all the of them and now are the only one left at the end of the bracket. There are news footage and clippings during this too.

it does not play a big role. Beginning and end is pretty much it.

I really had no series issues with the CGI. There are definitely a few shots with CGI interacting with humans where it feels like the humans are interacting with a 2D screen, not a real life character, but I don’t think that is a big issue throughout the film because so much of the film is Godzilla and Kong interacting with each other, so you’re watching two CGI characters interact in an environment that’s a mix of real world and CGI, so it’s almost closer to an animated film in that regard, so it didn’t bother me.

1. Does the fight between Godzilla and Kong in Hong Kong last from night to day like other sources say?
2. How long would you say the battle between Kong and the Warbats (snakes with wings) is?

1. Yes
2. Probably like 5 minutes

They’re in denial because their brains can’t process the awesomeness of...

Alligator Godzilla and MG being tag team thrown through a building
Or they can’t process the awfulness of the
flask scene

Question for @weezerspider
Do they at least imply how the they managed to build a dome around Skull Island without getting slaughtered? It must have taken a decade or so at least.

1. Is there any explanation or reference to Charles Dance from KotM?

2. Who was your favorite human character to follow throughout the film?

3. Do we ever get to learn more about the titan's past? Is it told to us? Cave paintings?

1. Nope, unless he was referenced in a throwaway line of dialogue I missed.
2. I guess Team Kong since Kong was with them the whole time. I really couldn’t give less about the human characters.
3. Not really.

Nope. It’s there at the beginning and just accepted as the norm.

Im sorry if I missed it, but I’m assuming Ren is the leader of Apex right? Do we get to know who leads monarch or no?[/spoilers]

He’s just a henchmen for the leader, Demián Bichir.

No. We just follows Team Kong and then Kyle Chandler has a few scenes. We don’t see anyone else from Monarch.

For some fans of a certain character who are upset:
Kong loses both major battles, but I never said he never gets the upper hand in battle at times. Obviously he holds his own in both battles, or there would be no movie. Godzilla wins, but it’s certainly not easy for him.

I believe him, And I'm the last to believe insiders.
I've had a couple of friends through the years from here that were legit with insider knowledge, but I'd say 95% of people who claim to be in the know, DON'T know jack shet.

Theater displays from Singapore. I really like the “Rule like a king/Fight like a god” tagline.

Cheesy, but it works for me.

@weezerspider So, what I want to know is if like in King of the Monsters, do they blend in the classic Toho roars for Godzilla at all? I really liked when they did that in King of the Monsters.

He sounds like he does in KOTM, so I guess so? You guys are starting to ask me inside baseball questions that, sadly, I don’t know. I believe I’ve seen all of the Godzilla films, but I am not that deep into it. I’m not one to recognize specific roars from specific films. I’m not that nerdy about Godzilla( not to say I’m not nerdy, I named myself after Weezer. I’m a loser :funny:).

I’m pretty excited to hear the soundtrack for the film. I know Weezer said that they didn’t recognize any themes, but he also just mentioned above that he’s not super nerdy about Godzilla, so I’m holding out hope that classic track remixes are in there and he just didn’t recognize them. Regardless I’m all about new themes as well.

Hey weezer, there’s been a debate among fans that
Godzilla got a powerup for the Hong Kong fight, as in his power got boosted by outside radiation, can you confirm or deny?

I’m assuming Kong fans are saying that? lol. Nothing happens in the movie to imply that. Godzilla wins fair and square.

[/SPOILER ]
Do you consider Kong and Godzilla equals? I think they are both alpha titans who can coexist because they are equals. Well Kong could’ve easily killed him when he knocked him out right? He just choosed to not do it. Right? You said he wom round 2. That puts him atleast above King Ghidorah. He’s more powerful than Ghidorah right? Because Godzilla and Kong are equals. The fight was very close right? Kong could’ve easily killed him right? Well, they are equals right?

Please answer

That’s for you weezerspider. Please answer. It’s very important. Please.
