Golden Globes-2017

Isn't it usually after Golden Globes that certain actors are cast as superheroes?

Casey Affleck as Nightwing

is there a reason why Casey looks so scraggily? a role he's working on, or just lazy?

Nah, he can be Doc Ock so he has four extra arms for groping. :o

Disappointed that Moonlight got completely shut out. They probably should've set it in Hollywood.

Guy's this is the only time we can choose between Amy Adams and Jessica Chastain LOL

i recognize her from an episode of SVU.

You can cut the tension with a knife between Stallone and Weathers haha

GG's dont have an In Memoriam?

So I see some Fox News regulars are reacting to Meryl's speech about as thoughtfully as one would expect from their ilk.

Happy for Olivia Colman. She was amazing in The Night Manager.

Have you seen Elise Neil??? She's 50 and she looks to be in her mid 30s.

I very much used to be that guy that got a bit turned off with political speeches at awards shows. But given the recent blow that's been dealt to the country and basic human decency, I don't GAF, go Meryl. Shower me with dat Hollywood liberal point of view. I love it just because it puts Trump back in his default position- that of a whiny baby. Can't wait for the "very out of touch and overrated, sad" Oscars! :yay:

And I'm not surprised at all to see LLL clean up. Feel like this has a good chance of happening at the Oscars too.

If this is how the oscars are going to go Ill pass. Im tired of politics and not big on live action musicals and both seemed to dominate the show.

Didn't watch- Sherlock too priority- but following the results, glad to see The Night Manager got a surprising amount of love. Same for Atlanta. Great shows, those two.

La La Land getting as many wins as it got, no surprise there. Hollywood does love movies about Hollywood. Great movie, don't get me wrong, even though I'm not a musical guy. And Casey Affleck winning for Manchester, very happy to hear that as well.

What I'm curious is whether Natalie Portman gets any sort of accolade because she was great in Jackie. And just like Hollywood loves Hollywood movies, they also love the Kennedys.

The thing about La La Land, as cliche and Awards bait-ish its subject matter and genre are, it's just so perfectly crafted and executed on all levels.

I'll take that kind of Oscar bait over movies like The King's Speech, which was a good movie, but it was not at all the type of movie that makes you think "THIS is how creative and wonderful movies can be". LLL is that kind of movie.

The Steve Carell/Kristen Wiig bit was the best out of the entire show.

Have those two host the Oscars next year, pls.
