Solo game: Guitar Hero
Multiplayer game: Rock Band 2 (Rent Rock Band 1 so you can download all but 3 tracks onto your HD for $5)
Guitar: any Guitar Hero one (RB ones are good but don't work with GH2/3/A)
Drums: Rock Band 2
Microphone: any

I would recommend COD4 because of it's awesome story and addictive MP. Also, Gears is probably my favorite game. If you want a game that will last you a long time, go with GTA 4. I personally like Saints Row 2 because it's a more enjoyable and less serious game.

You can by Call of Duty 4 at GameStop used for 45 bucks

I have RB2 guitars and I like them alot, but I'm a little disappointed by their incompatibility with GH2/3. Maybe I'll pick up a GHWT guitar controller eventualy when they are cheaper, but right now RB2 is more than good enough with their huge song list and DLC that GH can't compare.

Btw, so far I've gotten RB2, GOW2, and GTA4, plus SF2 HD Remix from Live. Not sure what other games I should get but I might buy another fighting game to tide me over until SF4, perhaps Soul Calibur 4 or MK vs DC.

I agree with you here. GTA4 was good, no doubt about that, but it lacked a certain something. For the sheer joyous anarchy Saints Row beat it at it's own game. I think it helps that there a lot of things you could do in San Andreas (and even Vice City), that you can't in GTA4 but can in SR2.

I would also recommend Smackdown vs Raw. I know wrestling is not to a lot of people's tastes, and it hasn't been mine since I was a young teenager but these are good games imo.

What things from GTA3 that you can play in SR2 but cannot with GTA4?

If you are thinking of going with a free roam game, hands down go with GTA IV. SR2 is just goofy fun, which is good and all, but not worth 60 bucks. GTA IV is fine art, where Saints Row is just a simple drawing on notebook paper.

I think the best game I've played on the xbox besides Gears, is probably Saints Row. I really loved that game, plus you should be able to get it for $20 new. I think I bought mine used from gamestop for $15-17 or so. I really love the game.

I got Saint's Row 2, but just got it and haven't had time to play it since my finals just ended today. But if it's anything like the first one, it should be great. I got it using a buy two games get one free deal though. I'd recommend getting Saints Row 1 since it's cheap, and if you like it, get the second one once the price drops some.

I've got GTA IV also, but I think I enjoyed Saints Row more. Then again, I got really, really tired of the cell phone in GTA and having to hang out with my friends all the time. I just want to be a silent recluse in video games and pick people off one by one.

Crackdown is also cheap and it's okay. But really, I could have lived without playing it and I'm giving to my cousin for a x-mas present b/c I know I'll never play it again.

Bioshock is $24 on amazon.com.

***Also, if you're not in a rush, I'd wait to see game deals as the month progresses. Toys R Us likes to do buy 3 get one free deals a lot around x-mas and I think they did it after x-mas last year as well. If you see that deal, only use it on-line as their in-store selection isn't usually that great, except for brand new games.

I bought the Darkness for 5 dollars used at EB Games back in the summer.

Not 3 necessarily, but San Andreas, there is less variety of vehicles, weapons, less customisation, you can't buy new properties or businesses, etc. It's still a very good game and I'd recommend anyone who hasn't played it to do so, but they went down the road of making it a bit more of a serious story driven game, and in doing so lost some of the silliness and chaos that I think are a big part of the GTA magic.

That's the one thing that bugged me about GTA4, kinda made money useless in the game without being able to buy properties.

Yeah and it could have been just me but I missed the customization of vehicles like San Andreas.

I must chip in THE GODFATHER should be fairly low priced.

I do enjoy MK vs DC UNIVERSE, the story isnt what hooked me it was playing as Batman Superman Joker Flash Green Latern against these MK men and women. It is really fun, :hoboj: umm I hope for DLC for this game like MArvel Ultimate Aliance with Character add ons.:applaud

Mass Effect and BIOSHOCK are absolute essentials. Probably two of the greatest games ever. And that isn't just my opinion, ask any professional games reviewer

DEAD RISING!!!

Amazingly fun game and you can find it for 10 or 20 bucks. I never get tired of killing zombies with my bare hands in that game.

I tried to play BioShock. I get too scared playing it. [puss :o]

I would try and break the timer in the game just so I could wander around for three or so days.

Break the timer? All you had to do was ignore the missions and select to continue after it told you you failed.

Yeah, and then the timer broke. Sometimes you could even hear it weep.
