Good news Hawkeye Returns.....

It was Hawkeye from the past, before he was killed. To be a juror in a trial, She-Hulk wanted to warn him about his death, so it would never come about.

Yeah, so because of that he never died, right?

I brought you this moment, enjoy away.
Actually, this moment was brought to you by the letter "H," as in "Haha, this is gonna suck."

Last Friday, so there I was, at WWC, standing near the Marvel booth, stalking my prey ;), and so standing there in that same old pissed off mood that I've been in ever since Disassembled was announced, I closed mine eyes and concentrated REALLY hard and used my mental powers to plant a subliminal subconscious subatomic suggestion. And about an hour later it was officially announced. :D

I decided to leave my prey alone that day...

At least until I see how poorly written and noticably awkward and forced this story is going to be.

And then, in my next fit of rage, when it becomes painfully obvious that killing a great character is not enough for someone, when that someone has to brink him back only to kill him again, and then in a boast of ego bring him back AGAIN to write the character in such a noxious void of creativity that even avid fans of the character will be shunned away by the abominable joke that once adored character has now become, when mine eyes fill with rage once again, I will resume the hunt and stalk my prey again.

You still just have no friggin idea what it means to write an Avengers title. You still haven't captured the essence of the spirit of the title 'Avengers'. Slap whatever adjective you want on it. You didn't get it then. You don't get it now. And no matter how many pages filled with talking heads you write, odds are, you still won't get it.

You didn't just kill a character; you killed everything that the character stood for. The long shot. The last shot, one arrow left, I make this shot count or the whole world goes to hell shot.

Tell me. How are you going to bring THAT back to the character Brian? How does a guy who has died twice and came back twice gonna represent 'the every man' now?

The only reason at all that I'll be reading NA #26 is to see if I was right.

Last chance to impress me. Don't blow it.

Excellent.

This was the teaser trailer to Gambit Returns November 2006.

And I had to put it in mine too.

I didn't realize it until you guys said it, just how good it was.

I really need to submit that Hawkeye pitch I've been playing with.

Keep playing with it and maybe it will come one day.

It had better be a different name, kate serves the title and i like it better for her.

No, he was pulled back into his regular time before she could give it to him.

What, are you kidding me? Hawkeye returns but he can't have his name back because his a**hole 'friend' Captain America's given it to some pissant little girl? I would kick both Cap and Kate's asses if I were Hawkeye in that scenario. :o

Plus, how does Kate "serve the title"? She's shot like three arrows since she became a superhero, and we've seen no indication that she's got any sort of uncanny aim. Clint could pick a fly out of the air from half a mile away.

I believe I said the same exact thing when the book came out. Of course, I was called a whining brat, but hey...I agree with you.

I don't have a problem with Kate taking the Hawkeye name, actually. It's the implication that she somehow deserves it more than the guy who originally had it that irks me. It's Clint's name. She's just keeping it warm for him.

Rightfully so, whiny brat.

I actually timed your response. Under 10 minutes...I was counting on it.
