I do like how it sounds like scaling to your level isn't just about upping health or damage on the enemies. But also unlocks other attacks.

C'mon. They are not going to do a "psyche, he isn't dead", when that is the big pull of reveal.

I mean, big props if they actually do keep him dead, but c'mon. This is a comic book video game. What do you think the answer is?

Well yeah the answer is obvious but some need their nerves calmed since they can't find common sense and can't be patient enough to let the story play out.

He ain't staying dead. People figured it out with Captain America before he was confirmed to be playable. So why not batman? Same ****

It comes down to if they were allowed and bold enough to actually kill him off or not.
They cant really adress this when its the whole premise and main point of the game, no matter how much people are on the edge on that.

If Batmans status is an important plot point or so, they can not spoil that no matter what.
Even if they say batman is alive, it doesnt change the fact that he will be probably just a side character or only very late playable...so it doesnt really change that much for people.
People who are dissapointed right now at the lack of batman, wont be that less dissapointed when it turns out he is a late game "unlockable" or so.

And personally, i dont want them to do anything that they over at marvel do.
So what if they spoil this captain america thing, i dont want the same thing happen here.
As much as im dissapointed right now, i rather have it be something we find out when playing.

Its separate.
I heard SS is supposed to be after Knight...but there are conflicting reports.

Anyway...
I havent found a source to that, but a german gaming site reports about an interview or so where Patrick Redding, the Creative Director speaks about the reason why batman isnt around.
According to it, it was done so that the players dont feel a sense of safety so that the players think about how they would protect gotham etc.
And that is such a weird reasoning if true.
Because you dont need to get rid of Batman for that.
That sounds a bit like they havent understood why the fans embraced the arkham series this much.
And it seems like they didnt get the court of owls story either.

Because thats exactly what the court did to Bruce, he put him into a position where he didnt knew his city anymore, the safety he felt knowing every corner of the city...was gone when the Court showed up.
He had to think about how to protect gotham from a threat that was around longer than himself.

Anyway...whats done is done.
They decided this and run with it.
No reason to lose sleep over it because it wont change a thing.
So lets look forward and embrace this game.
Im thinking about DLC characters, which i assume will be a thing.
They wouldnt let this chance go by adding at least 2-3 more members right?
Would love to see damian but since tim is still robin, i doubt it.
So my best bet is Kate...Batwoman would be so cool to see in this.

One thing I'm really happy about is finally seeing actual, normal civilians on the street sidewalks and in cars for once. I hope this game has a Spider-Man esque random crime system.

Since levels are scaled I hope we can turn off the level indicator and damage numbers, they just aren't necessary without fixed levels and unnecessarily clutter the screen.

I will say this. I liked whatever outfit Robin was wearing in the gameplay trailer. It looked to have a more traditional cowl/mask. I like that look for Robin.

I'm looking at a screen shot, and the upper portion of Robins outfit is red, not black. So based on that I don't think it's the Red Robin suit. Unless you can change the colors.

It seems pretty obvious thats its a variation of the red Robin costume lol. It also seems to be Tim Drake, the staff and super advanced tech are the give away there. The costume has the theme the colors are just inverse. It even looks like the red robin logo on the chest.
Plus if you pay attention in the trailer Batgirl wears 2 different mask too, she has the full cowl and domino mask. So costume are color swaps here are a given.



I can't be convinced that this isn't a red robin outfit.

So is this a sequel to the Arkham series? Since Wayne is apparently dead, it would seem so. But then you have Red Hood who I assume is Jason Todd. But he was the villain in the last one.

I’m a wait and see on this one. I thought Arkham Origins gameplay was horrible compared to the rest of the series so don’t have much faith in WB Montreal

So I'm just getting caught up with the news.

And........this is not quite what I expected. Don't know how to feel about it.......tbh.

With Batman "dead", it feels like it needs at least one more character. Like, Cassandra Cain as Black Bat/Orphan, Huntress, or Azrael. Only 4 playable characters seems like it is missing something when the "big draw" to these games (playing as Batman) is gone.

I want Catwoman added tbh. But I figure in the final level that we'll be able to play Batman as well.

I wouldn't mind if Bruce were actually dead in this game.

I also don't want to see them screw up the Barbara/Dick Grayson relationship again.

If they put her in a relationship again in this game....please no Barbara and Tim. That felt so awkward in Arkham Knight. Stop deaging her.

Though I hope that if this is an official look that they keep working on it because it looks cheap compared to her Arkham Knight look

But it is about time after what? 5 Batman games that we finally get one where you play the sidekicks for majority of the game. Time that the Batfam starts shining.
