Gotham Gotham Season 3 Episode 14 - "The Gentle Art of Making Enemies"

That's what I'm still hoping for. Circumstances drive Bruce (or Gordon) to have Jerome fall in a pit of chemicals that leads to outside the city. He's assumed dead after a search. Several other scenes of the episode would play out and the very last one would be him washing up ashore somewhere, waking up, and then reenacting The Killing Joke origin.

Fan-service-y? Yes, but at least it's better than the other opposite alternative.

We could very well end up getting something similar to that, though I don't think they'll show the actual transformation. They'll probably want to hold off on showing him fully Joker-ized until he resurfaces. I could see them going for a more B'89 approach where we only see a perma-white hand emerging from the chemicals/water.

With the way this is set up, my money is actually on Bruce more or less throwing him into the acid bath.

That should be interesting from his perspective too. It would mean he'll be confronted with the (misinformed) guilt of actually having killed someone.

I think he's talking about Bruce.
Alright, these are very bad pictures because it's very bad promo quality and the area is small.

Oh yeah, Bruce emerging at the last second behind Jerome. I noticed that too.

That scene is gonna be a terrific homage to The Dark Knight Returns. :D

The upper half of the face seems to be covered in "something" white. If you watch the promo in slow motion you can notice said "something" slightly sticking out from the edges of his face.

Possibly, though it could just be the lighting.

It's shown in all the mirror reflections. Pair this with rumors of a Robin appearance and what have you. I mean we have Bruce going off after Jerome in search of vengeance. His entire demeanor in the promo with Alfred channels Jason Todd or Damian Wayne.

Anyway, if I'm right, we actually get Bruce Wayne fighting The Joker wearing a f¤%cking mask.

If they play their cards right, this episode will be our first introduction into the iconic battle between Batman and the Joker in Gotham's universe, this one being before either of their personas are born.

I would find that refreshingly poetic. :batman: :joker:

Even though it won't go down like this it will be awesome to see Bruce and Joker in a house of mirrors.

It's happening. It's finally happening. :)

Hold on a sec! Didn't Eddie tell Oz to meet him at a chemical plant? I'm wondering if this is connected somehow.

Yeah, though I'm not sure if it'll be the same one. I would be surprised if they actually intertwined both stories in the end.

But I don't think that's what's going to happen, at least for the time being.

Bumpity bump bump 'cause, holy crud Kathemy, you were right (sorta)! Check out this new pic of Bruce David posted on his instagram:

Keeps the format interesting by doing a 3 ep mini-arc.
Could also be a cost/reshooting factor.

Imo, it doesn't really keep things interesting...it's actually kind of stupid. Just give us the rest of the season without all the breaks in between.

Fox wants to air the new 24 show in between, so I guess that's part of the reason.

Doesn't make it any less stupid though.

I think this is pretty much the gist of it. 24 and apb are starting up even Lucifer is taking a break.

I'm all in favor of the 3-arc concept but I'm annoyed that this leads to even longer in-season breaks. I thought it would mean that the two breaks each would be shorter.

New promo! And it's juicy. :joker:

Jerome doesn't look too good there when Bruce is beating the crap out of him. Should we be concerned?

He doesn't look very healthy.

Aaaaaand I'm right back to the pit of despair that is thinking the "they're most likely gonna kill off Jerome again and still stick with the stupid 'Joker is an idea' plotline" thing is going to happen. All because of this scene:

Dude the Joker dies a thousand times :D

They even said in text, "this joker will have the last laugh." Explicitly referring to him by that name for the first time.

They know what a great fit he is, just as they knew right from the moment they killed him off the first time that they wanted him back. Cameron confirmed as much. Will he be in every Gotham episode, not likely. He's an event special for now... But. Hell. This will be fireworks.

(Also: He clearly isn't dead or anything in that photo. Bruce just knocked him out cold.)
