The Dark Knight Graphic Novels you would like the next movie to have elements from

Take The Long Halloween. Remove all the fake Godfather stuff and replace it with more original gangster stuff. Replace Holiday with Joker. Delete all appearances by as-of-yet unintroduced villains.

You have your movie.

True.

It's just that's the way it looks to be shaping up at the moment.

The Long Halloween is the greatest Batman story I have read - plus I love Tim Sales art

Just bought Long Halloween. And finished it. Yeah, your right it is good i think the bit with Maroni's men putting the stiff in the boot of the car would be good in the next film.

No, it looks like it's shaping up to be The Man Who Laughs. The way you put it you have to remove almost everything in The Long Halloween.

TMWL doesn't need nearly as much changing, since TLH features Harvey turning into Two Face I say save that for 3.

Yeah, but Harvey doesn't become Two-Face until almost the end of TLH. I think it would be good to have some elements of TLH, like the whole Holiday storyline with some changes to exclude introducing too many new characters, and then of course TMWL because this movie introduces Joker. Possibly make Joker turn out to be Holiday. That way Harvey would be working on the Holiday case and everything, and then they catch Joker and he throws the acid on Harvey.

One problem with changing Joker to Holiday would be that you lose the great twist at the end of TLH....

Where Dent's wife turns out to be the Holiday killer for some of the murders.

I also think that it would be good if they had the sewer bit from Long Halloween in the next film you know where mickey Sulivan is being chased after by batman and he goes down into the sewers and gets attacked by solomon grundy. But, change Mickey to Crane and have it at the beginning so that we get Crane out of the way.

Ofcourse I have, The Long Halloween wouldn't make alot of sense. They could merge TMWL and TLH into one movie possibly but TLH by itself doesn't work.

In that story Batman and Joker have already faced eachother

So? That doesn't mean anything. BB2 is set a few years after BB, and Batman goes to investigate one of Joker's crimes at the end of BB, so they could have met during the lapse between movies. Though it's likely their first meeting will be during BB2, it doesn't have to be.

No it doesn't have to be their first meeting, but that would seem like a pretty sub par movie to me if it was not their first meeting.

Wheres Batman trying to get inside Joker's head while trying to solve his crimes? Wheres the epic first encounter? Wheres The Jokers first joke?
