Here's your He-Man . . . Jay Cutler.

Why? It's not like the 80's cartoon where Adam & He-Man look 100% identicle except for their clothes. It's more like the 2002 series, where Adam & He-Man kinda look alike, except for the major size difference.

He-Man should look like an Alpha Version of Adam.

So basically Steve Rogers before and after?

Exactly! Only the CGI would make him bigger instead of smaller. Unless you go with Mr. Olympia as He-Man and CGI him smaller for Adam.

I was saying they should probably go with that whole CG thing, as he won't be He-Man for the duration, only when he has a couple minute fights and the climax.

Viggo Mortensen for Man-At-Arms? I know some people want that.

Kind of, but with an added age element. Adam in the 2002 series is a 16 year old, where as He-Man looks vaguely 25-30.

They could handle the Adam/He-man thing like they did with Captain America, make him CGI skinny. Or make it a child to adult transformation (like Billy Batson) and use two actors who look enough alike to think that he is the same guy just grown up.

Also, recently bought the Hercules Season 1 DVD. Damn I sometimes forget how awesome Sorbo was. He needs to be in there too, maybe as King Grayskull or He-ro. Also, anybody notice that in a few of those pre-tv-series movies they did for Hercules they did all these camera tricks to make him look way bigger than everyone but never went ahead with it in the series itself.

With the whole Adam/He-Man thing, I'd prefer two actors who look kind of alike. He's got the secret identity, so as far as most of Eternia is concerned, they're two different guys.

But anyway, I suppose it's kind of like Iron Man. You've got Tony Stark who gets the character development; when he's kicking ass as Iron Man we can't really see his face (except in close-up), but we're still rooting for him because we know it's Tony in there. And by the time they did Avengers, RDJ almost never wore the suit.

Similarly with Adam, he would go through the whole hero's journey in getting the sword and fighting Skeletor; we would spend enough time with Adam in the first part for us to understand his plight and root for him to win that by the time he's replaced (physically) with He-Man, he's built up enough as a character that we can continue rooting for him even though he looks different.

Am I making any sense here?

Doing Adam/He-Man is easy. Same actor, just dress him down and make him look smaller as He-Man. Doesn't have to be as dramatic as Captain America.

get jesse spencer for adam and chris hemsworth for he man

all Australians look alike:o:oldrazz:

Well, he's certainly been hitting the weight room in the offseason. No wonder the Bears are off to such a good start.

Jay Cutler is a former Mr. Olympia. If Ferrigno can play Hercules, and Schwarzenegger can play Conan, then why not have Cutler play He-Man?

Hasn't Christopher Lee got the best Hordak voice?
Unless you want Frank Langella, that is.

Only voice acting arguments here. But an older actor can easily dub the one performing.
