It's only logical that they have TWO different actors for Adam and He-Man. They arent' even supposed to look alike.

Now, do you have a cast suggestion for Evil-Lyn?

I like Noomi Rapace or Eva Green

god i hate that sword.
I was never crazy about it myself, but I did like the idea that the sword transforms too; that way nobody has to wonder why Adam carries around He-Man's sword all the time.

Danielle Harris (I'm being realistic that Noomi and Eva would probably not do it).

I would have loved Eva Green as Evil-Lynn. But do you think her backstory will be included? She was an astronaut from our planet, aboard the same ship as Marlena, Biff Beastman and T.E. Scope. That could leave to a lot of interesting turns along the story. Maybe the queen will go out to fight as well? She had some knowledge in wielding a sword, I've think I've read that somewhere.
T.E. Scope - yes, there we have him too. Who should play Tri-Klops in the film?

Yeah, that part of the original MOTU series bible was essentially abandoned, and maybe for good reason. It's a good piece of trivia, but otherwise should be kept that way. It's a bit silly, and takes away from Marlena's uniqueness.

Honestly I'd prefer that none of these characters be from Earth. Earth more often than not wasn't all that important in the big scheme of the battle for Eternia and the whole idea that some of the cast came from there never felt organic, more like just throwing darts at the wall and hoping they stick. So I say just nix it.

unless they follow the original series and make his mother from earth, but THAT IS IT.

I think that is a horrible plotline, as it only leaves Randor and Duncan (Along with their relatives) as actual Eternians.

Evil-Lynn was retconned to be the daughter of a powerful Eternian Wizard in the 2002 Cartoon. I feel that suits her much better.

Agreed

I agree with this as well.

As for the question of who should play Evil-Lynn? How about Tia Carere? She's beautiful, a great actress, and her character in Kull was the only good thing about that entire movie.

She'd be almost 50 if it was made in the next few years...

I don't think that's necessarily too old for Evil-Lynn. I always saw the character as being essentially middle age.

Hell, that little He-Man bible reference would imply she's probably in the same age range as Queen Marlena. She should be old enough to be He-Man's mother.

No, there are a lots of characters who are real Eternians.

What about the Tri-Klops casting I asked about before?

Out of the original 8-10?

You'd be making 4 of the characters Earthlings. That'd be incredibly lame.

Same here. Regardless whether you're using the discarded '80s back story for Evil-Lynn or the 2002 Reboot origin, she's not the same age as Adam/He-Man & Teela.

In the 2002 reboot, she was a powerful sorceress before she ever met Keldor (something that takes some time to accomplish, in damn near any Sci-Fi/Fantasy story). Then when Keldor was injured in his fight with his brother Randor, it was Evil-Lynn who took him to Hordak in order to be saved. And this was (presumably) years after their initial meeting.

So a 50 year old actress for Evil-Lynn? Sounds about right to me. As I said, Tia has the acting chops and charisma to pull off the role. And 50 or not, she's still hot as hell.
