You know what, man? At this point I'm fine with him.

Aww man. :( and this could be so great in the right hands.

The possible casting of Lutz really indicates the quality they aspire to. What a trainwreck. At least Transformers and GIJoe tried.

At the end of the day, is Tom Rothman really going to greenlight a new He-Man movie of all things for $200 million? This is Tom Rothman we're talking about.

Your references confuse me.

I get them so it's all funny to me.

**** sake. Why do a**holes like McG keep getting attached to big franchise projects like this. He-Man could be epic in the hands of a good director, but nah, let's hand the keys over to the idiot who made Turdinator Salvation and Charlie's Angels 2.

If the Rock is "Franchise Viagra" McG is "Franchise Chemical Castration."

My guess is at the end of the day, with McG, I guess it's because he has experience working with these big franchises and big names and still got it all done?

I mean to be honest, for all the crap McG gets, he's been in this industry a long time. He's worked with everyone. He probably has tons of friends and connections up high. In the entertainment business it's all about who you know.

Not to mention, while he's not been as successful with the movies, he's had a lot of success in TV as well. His Wonderland Sound and Vision is attached to a lot of notable and popular shows. So technically he's helped spearhead a lot of notable fanboy shows like Chuck, Supernatural, The OC, Nikita. He directed the Chuck pilot and Chuck was a fairly successful show. It ended up getting five seasons. The guy who does the pilot basically set the style and look up for the whole entire series.

My other feeling with McG is that he will do his job and get everything done on time and on budget. Chances are he's not going to fight the studios on a lot of their decisions, and you know that probably helps with his longevity. He's not going to rock the boat and break rank like Josh Trank did.

I think another example is John Moore. Moore keeps getting these big directing gigs, and and he constantly fails. Yet Fox basically loves him because he's their company guy. He does what they tell him to do.

But here's my problem. Like when he says stuff like "I'm a child of Cameron." Maybe that's not what he meant. But it sort of annoys me when he says that. I think he means more to say, "Like I was raised on Cameron's movies and love them!" But when I hear that, a subconscious part of me gets annoyed, like he believes he deserves to get mentioned in the same breadth as James Cameron. Or another part of me feels "Well you claim to be a child of Cameron but you seem to learn nothing all from his work."

god he sounds desperate he literally name dropped the MCU,Game Of Thrones and any popular fanboy franchise lol

Well, Christopher Yost(Thor:TDW, Thor:Ragnarok, and Avengers:EMH animated series) did work on the script, so that could be an apt reason for that Marvel reference. He-Man does have certain mechanics that are parallel to both Thor and Captain America.

I loved he-man as a kid, but I gotta be honest, I don't have alot of faith in this.

The only thing I can probably be sure of is that the **** will look faithful to the cartoon. He won't skimp on the budget. The writing however....
