There have been some really great Femme Fatale characters in the history of film. Some of my favorites are listed below. Who would you add?
Mystique (aka Raven Darkholm) – played by Rebecca Romjin – X2 - she was the epitome of a ***** on a mission.
Her biggest ***** moments include seducing then doping a prison guard with iron and breaking into the “secure” Alkalai Lake facility.
Bridget Gregory (aka Wendy Kroy) – played by Linda Feorintino – The Last Seduction – The whole movie was a character study of a truly devilish *****!
She masterfully played every man she came in contact with flat out killing 2 men while framing one (the hapless hick aptly played by Peter Berg) for murder and rape.
She isn’t really that attractive as an actress but in this role she exuded evil sexuality.

Myrna Langtry & Lilly Dillon – played by Annette Benning & Angelica Houston – The Grifters - This was a true battle of evil *****es.
Highlights include Myrna sending Lilly (her boyfriends mom) on the run by stealing her stash of mob gambling money and then trying to kill Lilly. Then Lilly, after killing Myrna, tries to seduce and ultimately kills her son (John Cusack) to steal his conned nest egg.
Alex Forrest – played by Glen Close – Fatal Attraction – This one is kind of a given. Again another “not super attractive” woman that just throws out a “you must bang this” vibe men can’t resist.
Alex is flat out pscho, bunny boiling, child stealing and rather stabby with a butcher knife.
Katherine Trammell – played by Sharon Stone – Again pretty obvious choice. What is it with Michael Douglas and banging crazy chicks?
Nympo and gamesmaster manipulates the LAPD in exonerating her of murder while settling a college grudge with the equally sexy Jeanne Tripplehorn.
These are my top 5. I can list more but I’m out of time and I’m interested to see your choices.

Xenia Onatopp from GoldenEye comes to mind played by Famke Janssen

blasphemy that uma thurman hasnt been mentioned yet...

While you all are posting deadly women, they're not all necessarily femme fatales, imo. Traditionally, a femme fatale is someone who uses her sexuality to lure men into dangerous situations. Characters like Sarah Connor and The Bride are just straight-up badasses.

Kate Beckinsale as Selene in Underworld.

Mary Astor - The Maltese Falcon
Lauren Bacall - The Big Sleep
Ann Savage - Detour
Jane Greer - Out of the Past
Rita Hayworth - Gilda
Lana Turner - The Postman Always Rings Twice

I wouldn't call Sarah Connor a femme fatale really. I would definetly call Gail from Sin City one of the greatest femme fatales of all time.

Many are just noting women actioners and not actual femme fatales.

Some of the greats:

-Barbara Stanwyck in Double Indemnity
-Mary Astor in The Maltese Falcon
-Jane Greer in Out of the Past
-Ava Gardner in The Killers
-Kathleen Turner in Body Heat
-Faye Dunaway in The Three Musketeers and The Four Musketeers
-Michele Pffeifer in Batman Returns
-Famke Jassen in Goldeneye
-Rita Hayworth in Gilda
-Gene Tierney in Laura
-Kim Basinger in L.A. Confidential

I'm not sure the last one counts, but she was great.

Kill Bill did have Gogo Yubari and Sofie Fatale. Sofie didn't really do much in the movie but I bet she was pretty B.A.

Again, I wouldn't say Gogo or Sofie are femme fatales.

A femme fatale is a beautiful and mysterious seductress who's purpose in the story is usually to drive the male protaganist mad. They're evil and twisted but their role is more seducer than action.

Think more like Lauren Bacall in "The Big Sleep"

^^^YES!!!

A Femme Fatale won't necessarily kick your ass. She will use other men to kickass for her and then stab them in the back. However, if backed into a corner, watch out, because she may well kick your ass.

Nice contributions! Golden age *****es from nior classics. They really knew how to work it.

I think we can count Lynn Bracken[BLACKOUT] luring Shotgun Ed into into some steamy photographs to fire up her boyfriend, an unstable Bud White.[/BLACKOUT] You can also add Kim on this list for Final Analysis, and add Uma for the same film.

How about Glen Close (again) Dangerous Liaisons? Can't begin to summarize how big a ***** her Isabelle was. You can add Sarah Michelle Gellar for basically the same role in Cruel Intentions.

Lauren Bacall's not evil or twisted and she doesn't really try to seduce Bogart. That's her sister that does that.

Evelyn Salt was pretty badass.
