I am looking for ideas.
Something that we can fly to, and for small amounts of cash, enjoy ourselves.
(for me and my wife)

AND NO...not spending four days in a cabin mating like wild rabits...I can do that at home...
;)

Any thoughts?

What do you like? Beach? Lake? Mountains? Hiking? Gambling?

Also, during what time of year are you looking to go? Halloween? Thanksgiving? Christmas?

Ill rent you my room for cheap. Miami, sun, fun, beaches, *****es.

New England's always nice this time of year.

^^Oh yeah I love Newport,Rhode Island;Cape Cod,Mass and Maine :yay:

Those are kind of the key questions right there. Hard to give recommendations without at least that bit of insight.

Ogunquit and Wells, Maine are fantastic in Sept. and October. My wife and I went there in 2001 and loved it.

yup. pretty much the entire coast of maine is really nice to visit this time of year. great, cheap seafood too.

tough one...
sight seeing...

Relaxing stuff...
I am looking at you guys as to cool places you have visited that you would like to go visit again.

I've had a blast in Chicago everytime I've been there. Might be too expensive, though.

Alright. My favorite place on Earth: Cannon Beach, Oregon. Tickets to Portland from just about anywhere are usually relatively inexpensive. Rent a car and drive over to Cannon Beach. There are plenty of decent places to stay, some swankier than others. The Hallmark Inn has the best combination of anemities, location and price. It's RIGHT ON THE BEACH.

We spent a day and just drove up the coast and saw lighthouses and spent some time in Portland. Seafood is definitely cheap. Huge Lobster and Crab was $10, whereas in my area the cheapest is $25 for a small lobster tail. We will definitely be going back there.

Let me get this straight, you're asking comic book geeks and 24 hour web heads about great vacation spots???:wow:

We all know they never leave their parents house and when they do it's only with their geek friends to a comic or sci-fi con.:woot: :cwink:
