EXCLUSIVE: On the heels of casting Gossip Girl, Melrose Place and Supernatural alumna Katie Cassidy as the female lead in the CW’s pilot Arrow, another familiar CW face is joining the project. Willa Holland (Gossip Girl) has been cast in the modern retelling of the story of DC Comics character Green Arrow which stars Stephen Amell as the vigilante superhero who fights crime using archery, martial arts and technology under his secret identity as Oliver Queen, a wealthy playboy and billionaire industrialist-turned-outspoken politician in Star City. Holland will play Thea Queen, Oliver’s celebutante younger sister who’s testing the boundaries of acceptable behavior. The actress, repped by Gersh and Meyer Management, also co-starred on Fox’s The O.C.

Eh. I never thought she was that much worse of an actress than Cassidy, I can only think that bringing in a new actress so soon after introducing the first just irked alot of people.

Either way, Padalecki got a wife and soon-to-be-born child out of it, so I guess all worked out for the best.

I don't get why people dump on the actress who was Ruby 2? I like Cassidy and everything but she isn't exactly the best actress on the planet either.

I just never connected to Ruby 2.0, she didnt charm me the same way Orig. Ruby did. Either way just as they made Ruby into a grey character they just had to shove her back to black didnt they...

Hopefully slayer they will develop dinah as I said. Still I don't see it being a bad way to do it. Gives more time to develop ollie and the green arrow persona and show that crime doesn't pay. Which shows dinah one person can make a difference. And we see like I said maybe she gets sick of cases not going right for her, or scum getting off. Which causes her to make black canery identity to take them down. Then throw in canery scream meta power developing late for her and or she gets kidnapped by some criminal and it develops/she is injected with something/tested on and gets power.

Well filming isnt due to start for at least another few weeks. Then of course any costume shots would count on if they are doing studio work only with the suit, or if they do some exterior shots in a open location. Like how we had for the ww pilot.

We don't know. They haven't officially said Dinah is the Black Canary in the character descriptions or casting news. Either she won't be the Black Canary at all, she will be and they just haven't stated it, or she'll be a vigilante who resembles the Black Canary but doesn't actually use the name.

It's like when Anne Hathaway was cast as "Selina Kyle," but no one officially said "Catwoman." We won't know until we either see costume pics or we watch it.

If there is no costume, I will not be watching this show. If the costume is Black, I will not be watching this show(good job differentiating from Batman!).

The fact that this show is written by the writers of the god awful, disgusting, pitiful piece of **** known as Green Lantern is a huge strike against this show. Even if Campbell had full directory over the movie, the writing was STILL atrocious.

1. There will be a costume.
2. It won't be black.
3. It will be dark green.
4. Green Lantern was awesome.
5. You're extremely over-dramatic.

7. Directory isn't a word that has anything to do with film making. It's a collection of information or files.

I don't think you can hold Berlanti and Guggenheim solely responsible for GL sucking. Did they write a ****ty screenplay? Yes. But good writers have written ****ty screenplays before (Akiva Goldsman, anyone?). Honestly, there were so many channels GL must have gone through to get made that someone should've taken a look at it and said "Hey. This is crap. Can we fix this?" But no one did and we ended up with a bright green turd. I'm more inclined to blame the higher-ups that let **** play out the way it did than I am to blame those two.

Berlanti has been a part of enough good TV to earn him some leeway in my eyes.

...does Batman own black now or something? His costume is only black in the movies. Plus unless Ollie is sporting a cape and some bat ears I dont think they will look ANYTHING alike even if it were black.

Just cause gl flopped it wasn't really there fault it was more on production/studio probblems. Each of the writers have done decent work before and all writers/directors/producers have ups and downs in there career.. heck if the show goes to series we don't even have a writing staff on board yet. Plus no clue if for example the pilot it self if. Cw doesn't like a few things here and there it could be changed. Or stuff reshoot for dropping/replacing actors.

This type of series could be a better fit for the writers.
