I do love the art, but the mask always throws me off - it does look exactly like he's painted his skin green. There's just no depth to it (though waaayy better than those bloody goggles)

Meh. His mask has always looked like that. Go look at the art in Identity Crisis.

Sad to see this creative team go. They manipulated panels in a really fantastic and unique way. Nice to see some creativity in sequential art. It is odd though reading the Oliver in Green Arrow, and then reading the Oliver in JLU. They really don't seem consistent across the books.

The entire Outsiders arc has been my favorite story in years. Definitely the best of the new 52, beating out Court of Owls.

green arrow is my second favorite charecter, i've read and re read a good portion of his catalogue. and the outsiders arc ranks in the top 2-3 stories of his, ever, in my humble opinion.

It seems that DC wants their oliver to be more like the one in JLU and less of how he is in the current run. And i think most of us can agree that the ollie in lemire and sorrentino's run is the one we have all fallen in love with, and they seem to be throwing him out the window.

This new creative team failed once with a comic, and they WILL ruin this book and send green arrow to the bottom of the barrell again, and its sad.

Second, Lemire is also writing JLU, which is what makes the distinction all the more confusing.

true. And when i said the thing about what charecter we fell in love with, i was reffering to within the new 52, i should have specified and chose my words differently.

Its hard to not be bitter about the next team, and its easy to not be hopeful because the writer has tried and failed in the past.

This weeks issue was just as I feared, it was god awful. They managed to undue everything I loved the book in one issue. Sad day. This and flash have gone to complete **** for me

It feels and looks like the pre Lemire run, dc has dissapointed me majorly these past months

I feel bad for fans of this book though if that's the case. I don't feel betrayed because I'm a Van Dyke Ollie fan and still have those stories in my collection. So I mostly have ignored the New 52 stuff even Lemire's. But it always sucks when new writers completely **** the pot like this from the get go. This is just like that time when the old Flash TV series writers botched that whole Bart Allen is Flash premise which probably could've worked in better hands. TV writers should stick to just writing TV and stay the hell away from writing comics for the most part. They can't all be JMS.

Wow, way to kill one of the best/most promising runs on the character with more of the **** that nobody cared about before New52 happened.

Seriously, Kreisberg was writing this garbage before the reboot and nobody liked it. This reads like the exact same kind of thing.

yea guys they already are turning it into the show. I really dont understand DC, the arrow tie in book didnt sell, why do they think that turning this book into the show-like book is going to make it?

So instead of continuing to let lemire and andrea craft one of the best books on the shelf, they do this crap.

guys it really is that bad. it feels like what issue 17 would have been without lemire
