Homecoming Green Goblin Costume Design

I've said it before, I'll say it again. I'll keep saying it until we see it on screen.

This is the Goblin they need to do:

that design makes the purple clothes look so cool and nasty. Now that Spidey's in the MCU, maybe that will finally become reality...

They're gonna try to modernize it. I mean, seriously who carries bombs in a purse? And another thing I never got was why there was no armor on the Goblin costume? He's constantly flying several miles above the ground with bombs in his hand and no armor. So, purple and green colors yes. But with a little armor would be nice. And perhaps a glider that despenses bombs instead of the purse.

Yeah. Whatever name you want to call it, whoever else has one or something similar doesn't make the purse Goblin wears and other elements of the costume any less laughably goofy. When it comes down to it they just won't translate well to big screen.

Idk about you guys, but if I saw something like that flying around, I'd be pretty freaked out.

As far as the purse/satchel goes, I've never had a problem with it. How else would he carry all those weapons around, none the less have easy access to them? A suitcase? Jansport backpack?

I just don't want to see another goblin in some mechanized suit/armor type of thing. Ya, he should be armored, but I always thought the scales artists drew on his costume were chain mail, like Cap. Norman probably has some kind of bullet proof vest or whatever under that purple tank top too. Also, please give him some kind of prosthetic mask, something like Alex Ross' designs.

Personally, I don't think the whole ragged look works for Norman, espically if they are going for Dark Reign. Use the ragged creepiness for Kingsley, at least for now. If Norman survives post-Dark Reign, then they can shoot for the more traditional look.

I honestly don't want to see Green Goblin again. I'm just sick of seeing him hog the spotlight when there are so many good villains out there. Really, he wasn't even a very good contender with Doc Ock until he killed Gwen, and then all of the sudden he was the greatest Spidey villain of all time. I don't buy it. Heck, if we do see a Goblin again, I want Hobgoblin. He was an alright villain before they fumbled up the whole secret identity thing.

But hey, that's not what this topic is about. If they do put the Green Goblin on the big screen again, I'd like to see him wear this for once:

Heck, if he wore an incredible suit like that I might not mind having him in another Spidey movie. That suit is just perfect.
