"Guardian Archangel:" The Official Character Discussion Thread

Thinking now, I'm happier with how Angel was done in the movie.

I didn't even think of this before, but the end scene in the park, seeing Angel flying freely made me realize that he has started to bond, and learn to appreciate/love his mutantcy. :D

Which goes full circle from when we first see him, as a little kid scared of his wings. But now, he flies without fear.

As he should.

Of course he was done well but they quantity was lacking.

True. But I see this as merely an introduction to his character. With that, as long as he gets more screentime in a future movie, as he should, it doesn't really matter if he has a smaller part than thought in this one.

Even though he was heavily advertised... :down

Yep he was portrayed to have a big role and he was practically a cameo.

Yup. That was a major fax paus on Fox's marketing department.

Although, I did find him to have some of the more memorable moments in the film.

Huh...? Angel...? Was he that blond guy? :p

You are still living in denial. Angel was *so* useless it's not even funny. I saw the movie a week ago and all I can remember of him is that scene where doctors were going to cure him. And. That's. It. :(

Pfft, we all know the only reason you remember him then is becuase you zeroed in on his naked chest. You didn't remember him later because he had clothes on. We all know that unless something involves a half naked man, you zone out. :o

Funny how that's the only scene where he had his shirt off too... :p

Please bring back Arcangel

Angel with just wings no offense not that great of a superhero..

I like Angel more than Archangel to be honest.

And Angel was more of a superhero than Archangel in my opinion.

I'm still holding to the fact that Angel does more in the battle than we see... :p

If Storm's tidal wave can get cut, alot of other things can get cut too.

ANGEL

*watches tumbleweeds roll on by in this thread*

FYI, Angel's dad (Michael Murphy) is on a repeat of Law & Order right now.

Did they use the de-aging FX on Warren snr. too, out of interest?

Young Warren acted pretty well in his few seconds on screen - I normally hate kids in movies.

Just a quick hair dye so? I though the young Angel actor was excellent! Great casting! That scene was quite gruesome and disturbing!

Cayden Boyd's a good kid actor.

Yup, I guess so.

And that scene was my favorite in the whole movie. I'm glad I decided to wait for the big screen, instead of watching it online first.

Me too, it was one of the few scenes I was totally unspoiled for in the movie and it was a pleasant surprise!

Young Angel and Cyclops in his bedroom were the scenes that got to me the most.
