I have a question. Why do people want Angel to turn into Archangel in the movies so soon?

Because most people think Angel is boring, and think Archangel is better since he's flashier and corrupted by Apocalypse.

If he gets changed too soon, the heart of the whole arc will be lost in translation.

Oh. Have they ever read the comics with pre-Archangel? I never found him boring. I wouldn't say he's an all-time most interesting character but it's not like he was some cameo.

Unfortunately the downside to Death/Archangel was that for people who haven't read the comics, they see Warren as destructive and angry. And then when they see regular Angel, he's nothing like Archangel.

There was so little of Angel that was shown, in the movie, that his nature wasn't established enough, a screenplay could be written with him as Archangel. Only problem would be to explain his change of wings and skin color, without having to establish Apocalyps's background.

X3 was only an introduction to his character. He could further develop before a transition to Archangel with a movie or two.

I gotta say I don't want him turning into Archangel unless Apocalypse is involved. If Apocalypse doesn't come into the movies, leave Angel as he is. I think the whole Archangel thing has become overrated.

Im one of the few people who prefers angel to archangel, i never want to see him lose those wings, to me they are a symbol that should be preserved instead of turning them into 'coldhearted' steel

But his wings in the second picture look much, MUCH better.

To be honest, I much prefer the blue skin. It went very well with Warren's new look.

I agree.... I mean in every pic we see his wings are different than before.... it's really confusing...
