Looking forward to this series a lot
Ditto.Ties to the previous GotG and that cover make me a lot more excited for this series than I was initially.![]()
Bwahahaha, yeah, that was the significant tie I mentioned a while back. I can't wait for Starhawk. He looks pretty badass, too.Ho. Lee. ****.![]()
WOW! That dude looks effin' awesome!

The son of Quasar and Kismet who seemed to know everything because, as it turned out, he was stuck reliving his own life over and over in some weird loop.
When was this added to his story? In Quasar's old series?Holy ****, I just remembered that Quasar (the real one, Wendell) was Starhawk's dad, and Starhawk's mom was Kismet, the female counterpart to Adam Warlock. I wonder if the fact that "relatives" of both his parents are on the team will factor into the book at all. DnA claim they're big GotG fans, so they probably know of the connection.
I don't know, I looked it up on Wikipedia when I remembered that Quasar was somehow connected to Starhawk. Logic would dictate that it was most likely either in Quasar's series or the Guardians of the Galaxy series, though. When was this added to his story? In Quasar's old series?
That would blow my mind, but I think it's a bit too deep into relatively obscure continuity to be the basis for Starhawk's involvement here.

Not in the Quasar series...no mention of Starhawk there.
Yeah I read both Quasar and Guardians sporatically back in the day and never heard of any connection between the two. But then, it was early in both runs. I know in the old Deluxe Edition handbooks there was definitely no mention of their relationship whatsoever...
Starhawk will be joining the Guardians in issue 3. Check out the redesign:

I haven't read the relevant issues, but the cover of GotG's second-to-last issue on Mile High has "Starhawk finds Kismet" on it. It seems likely that that issue or the last GotG issue would be where he learned of all this.I'm surprised by this connection too. I own all of the Quasar and GoG books and I don't remember either of them ever mentioning it. I'll admit that I don't remember everything in the comics I read, but considering how much of a Quasar junkie I am, I thought I would remember this.
Can anyone confirm an issue where it's stated?
I just looked at that cover and don't remember it.
