Yep. Which is why I'm guessing it'll be during the Superbowl.
Lizard's CGI is probably still being worked on.
Hopefully not by Sony Imageworks.
Exactly.For the actual movie, yes.
For promo stills and other stuff? No way in hell. They've got at least a few stills and a character poster ready.

Excluding the leaked Lizard pic (doesn't count)...I guess I can still win.![]()
t:I haven't the faintest clue. But I'll tell you this. The Dark Knight Rises is on fire right now and if Sony wants to so much as put a dent into that movies box office sales they'll get there act together right freaking now.
Getting ridiculous people.
agreed. But Sony has their own plans and they have made it clear that they wont play by anyone else's rules. If they did care about competing with TDKR they would've already revealed The Lizard. I have a feeling that they know that they don't have to compete with TDKR, and to be honest, there's actually no point
You see, TDKR is like an unstoppable force, it's not like TASM is ever gonna steal that fame, so if Sony does have well thought out plans for TASM, it would be just better for them to do it their way rather than just trying to steal TDKR's thunder, that way they might even have a chance to compete with TDKR in the long run

I read all this chatter about a trailer coming out this week to reveal the Lizard. I guess that rumor has been debunked... Jeez. The studio really knows how to dial up the wrong kind of press. History always shows that when you have confidence in your villains, you show them early to generate excitement. Clearly Sony is in no hurry.
maybe I should finally get an avatar :P recommendations?green lantern was a lesson to all. if the shots aren't finished don't show them you never get a second chance to make a first impression.
Good point! I think the impression has been made. All you have to do is look at the various polls on the web regarding anticipation for this film and it's barely charting. Other films like Avengers and Dark Knight Rising are doing very well.
