I think they made the mistake of making him blue. It worked in an animated movie but they should have tried another look for live action.

But honestly I find the green screen more troubling. Everything looks so fake.

The city looks okay and Jasmine’s costuming looks good, but Aladdin inside the collapsing cave was not good.

He actually looks good here, but not in that preview. I think they should have made him a little more luminescent, like a Force Ghost.

Really should have gone with a more animated, stylized blue genie. This gets a big "nope" from me.

I think they should've just painted Smith blue no CGI enhancements gave him clothes.

Hmm Genie doesn’t look so good. I wish Jasmine had been in her classic outfit, but other than those two things - looks decent enough! Jafar’s voice is very interesting.

Am I the only one who like's Genie's look here? That's exactly what I'd figured he was gonna look like. What the hell were YOU GUYS expecting? Buncha gatekeeping, nostalgia-google wearing fools. Give the damn movie a change when it comes out.

I wasn't expecting much out of this Jafar. I mean they got a dude who looks exactly like Drake for christ sake, but my god at this Will Smith Genie. That **** is going to haunt my dreams for a while lol. It looks abysmal and creepy as hell, but hey the rest of the scenery in this special look looked great.

Oh, I’ll definitely give it a chance - I’ll even give it the benefit of the doubt for now: but it just doesn’t look entirely great yet. Honestly, there are bits where it looks a bit cheap. The scene in the city is so clearly a set, it’s not even funny: though the wide shots are beautiful. And some of the costumes look like Halloween costumes to me, not in a good way. But I’ll wait for a full trailer before I make any further judgements.

I think if they brightened the blue up a bit and gave Genie an ethereal glow, it'd work better. Right now I am getting major Na'vi vibes from him.

I’ve already decided to probably pass on the Lion King. Dumbo, I’m very much excited for. Aladdin...we’ll see. But Lion King doesn’t interest me at all.
