Fantasy Guy Ritchie Directing Disney's Aladdin

I think using Hulk for this argument is tricky seeing as PowerCosmic really thinks Hulk looks 99% like Ruffalo. I think a better example would be Thanos.

If you meant created the same way in that their CGI faces were created using CGI and were mocapped to their live performances, then sure, that's definitely plausible, and probably the most likely scenario. But you can clearly see that Hulk's CGI facial features were designed to look similar to Ruffalo, while Genie's facial features were designed to look exactly like Will Smith.
I get your point, and I'd probably be agreeing if not for the most recent Endgame promo art. That looks exactly like a green Ruffalo. I can't speak for how he'll appear in the actual movie...but wow, as it stands, that is facially Ruffalo.

What the **** is going on with her hair?

Why show Will Smith's face? It's a CG character. The idea that they need to use Will Smith's face, which let's be fair, isn't a selling point at this point, is the issue.
Im confused as to what you want them to do. In the original Genie's human face looked exactly his genie form

So logically it makes sense to use Will's face

I think people are just being petty and just failing to accept that Robin ain't coming from the dead. The CGI looks bad but other that at wtf do you want.

And now people bickering because Jafar doesn't have the cliche raspy old man villain voice. I'm excited for the different interpretation.

Is it because they used a black actor to fill the shoes of the great Robin William's? Cuz all I'm hearing is "Why didnt they cast Jim Carrey?" "They could have casted Jack Black.." "Hell what about Adam Sandler"

The CGI on the genie is astoundingly bad. I'm shocked they'd put something out that looks so awkward and unfinished.

Those all sound like a bad idea to me. Rather have an unknown actor.

At least we got confirmation of Iago and Rajah

Young me loved that movie, mostly because of Christina Ricci.

These things look nothing alike. Not in details, design or quality of rendering.

Those are some seriously godawful suggestions.

Those characters kinda show they could have gone the more cartoony look for Genie.

In Watchmen, Dr. Manhattan was 100 % CGI, but it looked far better, Billy Crudup's face was not superimposed on a CGI body, instead they made Dr. Manhattan's face closer to actor's face but used mocap for showing expressions.

I'm not sure if I'd want to see a Genie who was that cut, though.

The more I think about it, the more I imagine all they did was mocap Smith's face but not his whole body. If they did the route like Dr. Manhattan, we'd at least could've gotten the blue glow and better body movement. As for the quality of the CGI, these live-action remakes haven't exactly all been that great anyway. So, it's par for the course.
