Sequels Halle Calls Out To Xmen Fans For X4

I was also thinking Hugh is fantastic, but the only other person I could see in the role (not an actor) is Glen Danzig. He's got the same build and looks just like Logan. Weird.

He does??? :wow:

From what I recall, the guy's incredibly buff...

provided that Fox doesn't mind giving up a little creative control to Marvel and the production team. they should nudge closer to an R-rating too.

As if. Well, I suppose the former might (not holding my breath, eh) happen, but the later? Forget it.

Count how many summer R-rated action flicks have been released in the past few years. Yeah, that much. :csad:

I'm saying, "go for an R" by any means. I'm just saying they can push the limits a little more. I've seen far more violent PG-13's.

I'm actually more worried about the former. Apparently, Marvel wants a little more creative control, and they want the directors and writers with some more control, but Fox seems to be the stubborn one with that.

FOX will probably make the X4 film reguardless.

I doubt I'll go see it, I'm just one small fish in the ocean of viewers so my 7dollar ticket doesnt really matter anyway.

X3 was rushed and a horrible experience.

The only (pheonix) bird that I saw in the X3 film was the one given to Mardsen(cyclops character) and FOXs delivery of the entire Pheonix saga according to FOX lore.

At least get the story right and in line with the comics, FOX.

The muscle suit that JUG wore had a Beer Gut too ~ what a rip off!

What a waste of budget, time and effort - but hey, they still made money reguardless ..../shrug.

I think Ratner did a better job than Singer did, and I liked Singer's version. It was too soft for true x-men die hards. 3 was closer to the mark, but I agree it was a bit ADD when watching. I think someone who truly bleeds x-men should helm the next series and should focus on the adult audience and really zoom in on the comics story base.

I would love to see them keep churning out x-men movies, so long as they are quality. Don't churn out crap (Rocky V+, Nightmare on Elm Street 3+, Rambo 2+, etc, etc.)

Halle Berry Calls Out to X-Men Fans
Source: Superhero Hype!
January 11, 2007

We received a lot of mail from fans about this one (sorry folks, we were traveling), but when Halle Berry won for "Favorite Female Action Star" at the People's Choice Awards on Tuesday night, she called out to X-Men fans. Here's a good summary of what she said from XMenFilms.net:

"I had no idea you guys loved Storm so much! Wow, thank you, thank you. And I want to thank Tom Rothman for allowing me to play Storm, and Brett Ratner for allowing Storm to finally use her cape and fly this year." said Halle Berry at yesterday's People's Choice Awards.

"But I have something to ask you guys. You guys really love X-Men? Ok, here's what you have to do. Write letters. Every one of you in this building who love X-Men and want to see X-Men 4, write a letter to Tom Rothman at Fox and tell him so and you will get another one, and I'll be there too."

You can write or e-mail 20th Century Fox regarding X4 at:

No pressure Tom!

Wasnt Halle berry agreed to be the single worst part of the movie? and isnt the only thing that would save an X MEN movie is if X4 came out and said "we were just kinding about X3!" That movie was MARVELS CATWOMAN with LOTR BUDGET! It is even up for "WORST MOVIE OF THE YEAR" by the Movie Guy! And it deserves it!

How in the world could they bounce back from that huge pile of crap???

*hysterical laughing*

He does??? :wow:

Exactly, seen the comics - Wolvie's RIPPED!!!!! Not that I don't love Hugh (and I think he has done well).

I would love to see the X-Men move closer to the adult zone (somehow the comics treated the kids as adults and were not holier-than-thou about it.)

It makes me feel a tad ashamed since since it's Berry asking but the x-fan in me HAS to sign it...

I think many of us can agree that Halle had nothing to do with what was wrong with X3..

Exactly. I personaly liked X3 (some things dissapointed me) But seriously, Halle did a really swell job in this movie, really picked up her character and did a total 360 from the first two movies. I find that Brett Rattner is an exellent director aswell. He really seemed to know how to make the actors really pull off the characters the action scenes were beyond what we've seen in past movies and every thing ran smoothly, the only problem i had with it was the story line, it was too rushed and I think fox bit off more they could chew with some of the things they did.

Clearly. ESPECIALLY when compared with 1 and 2, Storm was on point and Halle played a solid background mentor character.

I think I realized that X3 was a horrible movie when Wolverine started giving the battle speech. Not even a badass battle speech, but kindof like Cyclops' impression of Aragorn battle speech. It was disheartening, and it reminded me how much Fox had control of the movie and how Wolverine's marketting is killing the X-Men (literally so in the movie). It was disheartening.

And the story was totally unremarkable to me. The Cure had implications that were astounding.

Yes, I want to see an X-Men 4, because I've enjoyed all three films thus far.

I guess I'm in the minority then. I feel that she B!tched so much prior to 3 coming out about having a BIGGER part to play and a bigger role with more lines. In fact if I remember right, she threatened to walk out or something?? ( ) That's called EGOTISM and the movie is not called STORM, and no it's not called WOLVERINE either, but everyone knew that the main draw of the X-men movies was always Hugh's character along with other factors (story, other characters and talent playing them). Why else would Bryan Singer focus the 1st movie on Wolvie in the first place?

I think we'll never truly see as X-men movie the way Spidey 1 was. There are too many greedy hands looking for a payday. Tobey and Sam totally nailed everything right with Spidey 1, and the X-men 1 was just a watered down version of what could have been. Someone needs to make an X-men movie who wants to be true to the original material and not focus on $$$ and executives waiting for a payday. Stop banging out crap a$$ comic movies for the sake of the trend. Do it because you love it, or don't frakkin do it at all.

Halle, i'm sorry. I want an X4 but without you.

Yall are crazy halle was not the best pick for x-4 but she was a good storm especially in x-3.

If Halle were the worst thing about X3, it would have been a really fantastic film.
Yes, I think she wasn't great, but there was so much more wrong with that film, that you can't point at her (the way you could have for the first XMen film).

Can you blame her, look at what happened to the characters of the actors that kept their mouths shut.

yea im still pissed about cyclops.

and yes halle berry is a good actor shes just in horrible movies lol. and shes no storm. its just halle berry in a weird suit.

if they do an X-4 she should at least have a supporting role, if they focus on the younger characters..

It should focus on a better script.

Yep. Unless they want to pull a Nightcrawler and explain her absence in a video game, Storm should at least have a supporting role.
