I want him to ***** slap Galifkaiahasddisaads

People are acting so dumb in this thread. Zach gallifinakis' importance to the hangover a 9. Mel gibson's importance a 1-0.5.

Some of you are acting like gibson was a main cast member from day 1 or something.

Also Neeson > Gibson.

This will be all water under the bridge.

Seriously, Zach gallifinakis is awesome and I hope he doesn't saturate himself too much. But I think comedic actors tend to have a harder time to get accepted by fandom than dramatic actors like Tom Hardy or Michael Fassbender due to the genre clashes.

I'm not a fan of over-the-top comedic characters so ZG was my least favorite part of the first movie. The only worthwhile thing he contributed was the pronunciation of "ritard."

The problem with being a comedic actor, is that the fans tend to be very snobbish. If something is mainstream, then it is no longer funny to them. Take Will Ferrell example, the people complaining about The Other Guys were the same people praising him as the next John Belushi following Old School. His schtick hasn't changed, its still just as funny. The difference is, its mainstream. That's why all the good comedians die young. Because if Richard Pryor, Chris Farley, John Belushi, etc ever had a chance to go mainstream, their fans would snub them and their careers would start to fade.

I think you guys mistook my post. I simply meant it would be funny if Neeson *****ed slapped the guy out of nowhere. I loved Gallifinakis.

I love Zack and I'm glad he's getting more exposure. I loved him when he was doing his stand up stuff and now he's kicking ass in movies.

I always liked Neesan way better then Gibson (even before he went insane) so him replacing Gibson is awesome news.

Word is that Robert Downey Jr. is not too happy about Mel Gibson being axed from The Hangover 2, or that his Due Date co-star Zach Galifinakis is involved.

Downey says it was Mel who helped cast him in Singing Detectives, his first movie after jail, even though an insurance company wouldn't cover it. He thinks Mel deserves a second chance too. They also have the same rep, and it was Downey who lobbied to get Mel in The Hangover 2 with director Todd Phillips.

But the cast was not happy with the idea and Zach was at the forefront of that resistance.

Word is Downey has been "pissy" with Zach during promotion for Due Date.

I can understand that. It's a real big grey are, no black or white clear cut argument.

I just have a feeling this one is going to jump the shark.

Typical case of Hollywood casting a far too attractive lady for an unattractive man in comedy films.

Whaaaat, so what happened to his stripper wife? Lame. :(

Hang on, Hang on. What happened to Heather Graham????? Me want Heather Graham!!!

I can't remember what site this was on, but there was an article with a quote from WB or someone involved who said the story didn't have room for Heather Graham's character.

They say there’s been tension between the two in the weeks since Liam Neeson replaced Gibson in the role.

But instead of red carpet chilliness, Cinema Society guests were treated to an outpouring of love that was nearly as uncomfortable. In fact, Phillips, Downey, and Galifianakis affectionately joked around in front of TV cameras for so long that they needed to be ushered into the theater. Downey looked on with delight at Galifianakis’s antics, which included sitting down on the floor mid-sentence and ousting a cameraman to take over filming duties. Does that mean all is well in Frat-Pack land? Perhaps, but, again, they’re actors. And there’s nothing like a little shtick to get people’s focus back on the movies.

Deadline is reporting Paul Giamatti will be in this movie.

It pisses me off that this one wont have Graham. I was hoping Stu would've stuck with her.

Same here. I think they're going to go in thinking they can do no wrong and try to be out there when it could very well fail.
